Continuation of If/Then

Part 8

Meredith and Derek were lying on Derek's bed in his trailer. She was lying her head on his chest as they sat in comfortable silence.

"I need a new place to live" Meredith said.

"Do you want to move in here?" 

"No. I am not living in a trailer." 

"Why not?" He asked a little hurt.

Meredith kissed him lightly. "I love it here, I really do, it's beautiful. But I need a place where there is actual plumbing."

Derek laughed gently. "I don't like the idea of  you sleeping somewhere without me."

"Hmm then move with me."

Derek sat up, "Seriously."

"I mean if you don't want to that's okay, I was just thinking-"

Derek cut her off and kissed her passionately.

"I would love to move in with you."

"And you wouldn't mind not living in the trailer?"

"Yes as long as you distract me sufficiently from my pain" He responded sarcastically, kissing her again.

"Okay."

He smiled at her, "Okay."

They drove to work together in the morning. Once they arrived, Derek pulled into a parking spot that was next to a car with two women in it.

"Is that?" Meredith asked pointing to the car next to them.

"Dr. Robbins and Dr. Torres?"

"I think it is. I wonder what they are doing together."

The two women leaned into each other and started to kiss.

"Well that's what they are doing together." Meredith scoffed.

"Isn't Torres married to Hunt."

"Ughhh the amount of cheaters in this hospital is atrocious."

"Umm Meredith?"

"What."

"It's just that a couple days ago... you sorta had sex with me while on a date with someone else."

Meredith glared at him. "That was different."

"It was wonderful. But not all that different."

Meredith hit him on the arm as they exited the car.

"Are you seriously condoning cheating."

"Well I have only had positive experiences with cheating."

Meredith gave him a curious look. "What do you mean positive??"

"Well my wife cheating on me meant I could leave her. Karev cheating on you meant that I could start seeing you, and you cheating on douche-vet was... a very positive experience for me."

Meredith smiled at him. "Fine. But just so you know. If you cheat on me, I will shave your head in your sleep."

Derek smiled at her, "I am not going to cheat on you."

Derek waited a minute, "Because ridding the world of my luminous hair would be a crime against humanity."

Meredith hit him again.

Later that day Meredith spotted Cristina standing, starring at something blankly.

"What's up?"
