Chapter 10: Goodbye...

"Welcome back to possibly the last episode of All things mortal! This is your host Jude Duarte" 

I wince at my wife's attempt to muster up some enthusiasm for the cameras, but I know that sorrow fills her heart, at having to say goodbye to this show that has been such a wonderful journey for the both of us.

I smile softly, and place a hand on her stomach as I address the camera, and the wonderful audience we have built up behind it. "This show, has been one of the most bizzare yet enchanting experience I have had, a chance for me to experience a peek into the life of these wonderful mortals"

"From moments of trying to clean up his disastrous messes, to moments where he has stolen my heart, this show has captured everything, and with a heavy heart, today we're here to tell you that it unfortunately has to come to an end..." her eyes flutter close as she says this, and I pull her closer to me, trying to comfort her.

She lets out a sigh and says, "You might be wondering, why we're ending the show..." Jude stumbles on her words but I look at her, urging her on. She smiles as she meets my gaze, before looking back at the camera.

"Well..."

I can't believe I'm actually going to announce this to people now. Cardan and I had been keeping this a secret for a while now, but its finally time for us to let the secret out.

"We're having a baby."

I feel Cardans hand tighten around mine, as all the tension flows out of my body with those words. "With the baby coming soon, the entire palace is going to be filled with celebration and guests for months now, and even our workload doubles as we have to find a balance between that and making time for our little girl."

Out of the corner of my eye, I see Cardans face split into a grin. He's been elated ever since he found out we were going to have a baby girl, from hosting a party to break the news, and buying an entire mansion for her to live in, he's been pampering our child even before she's entered the world

He puts a protective hand over my slightly bulged tummy and says to our audience, "Her name will be Evalyn, but I prefer Eva" 

Eva. Evalyn. Our little tiger baby.

Even the thought of her fills my heart with golden joy, so a true smile blooms on my face. "This has honestly been one of the best experiences we have ever had, but sadly our lives are turning a new chapter."

"So for the very last time, thank you and goodbye..."

Hey there!

Its honestly been ages since ive opened Wattpad, and i'm honestly so caught up with real life, that i just can't spare the time to really get back into this world of fiction.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this entire journey, and i really couldn't leave without one last chapter so here it is. Its been a joy writing this for all of you, but unfortunately, just like Jude and Cardan, I also have to say goodbye.
