"This will be our last Warbler meeting until after the break," Wes said as the meeting closed. "If you need to speak with any of us, Thad and I will be at Dalton all break."

"Actually, so will I, this year," David added.

The meeting ended, and Wes turned to David. "You're not going to see your family?"

"I just saw them over Thanksgiving break," David responded, shrugging. "Can't a spend Christmas with two of my favorite people for once?"

Thad looked up, eyes wide. David was smiling. "Really?"

"Yep. You're stuck with me all break," he teased, throwing his arms around Wes and Thad's shoulders.

Wes laughed. "Oh, this is going to be torture."

"Absolutely unbearable," Thad agreed softly, though the smile on his face said otherwise.

"What's wrong? It's winter break, you'd think you'd be thrilled to get out of classes," Sebastian commented, seeing Kurt staring into his tea.

He sighed. "I'm happy to get out of class, don't get me wrong. My family's never really celebrated Thanksgiving, so I was fine staying here... But I've never spent Christmas without my dad. I just... I'm not ready to go back to Lima, I'm not ready for the flashbacks and panic attacks."

Sebastian paused. "You don't have to go to Lima to see your family on Christmas."

Kurt looked up at him. "What?"

"Well, couldn't you meet them somewhere outside of Lima? Have dinner together at a restaurant, go sledding, or ice skating, even just get coffee... They can leave Lima to see you, and I'm pretty sure they will."

"I... You're right. But how do you know they would? You haven't met them."

Sebastian's eyebrows went up. "He didn't tell you?"

"What?"

"I got a letter from your father when you first transferred. Politely worded, but it boiled down to, 'I didn't want my son to have a roommate in the first place so lay a finger on him and I'll kill you.'"

Kurt went red, burying his face in his hands. "Oh my god! No, he didn't tell me he threatened my roommate. I need to have a word with him."

Sebastian chuckled. "You're cute. It was actually a good thing, because it told me you had at least one parent who cared about you really strongly, so I wasn't as worried about you."

"Still, I'm going to talk to him. He could have scared you off. You know where I'd be without you?"

"Do you know where I'd be without you?" he responded.

Kurt laughed. "Fair. Is this what they call a healthy relationship?"

"Your guess is as good as mine," he responded, laughing as well.
