"Hey! Sebastian Smythe, right?"

Sebastian turned around, startled. He recognized the pin on the boy's blazer with a sickening feeling.

He nodded softly.

"I was wondering if you'd like to join the Warblers. I heard your voice, we need you."

It's one freshman, he told himself. Or sophomore, whatever. Just say something.

He couldn't, hard as he tried. He looked down embarrassedly, shaking his head.

Then exactly what he feared happened. The boy got irritated. "Oh, give it up. I know you can talk. Everyone on the Warblers does now. You stop the act."

It's not an act. Getting nowhere in his attempts to speak, Sebastian just tried to leave.

As he left, the boy grabbed his wrist, attempting to stop him. That's when his mind completely forgot what was going on, when his instincts kicked in.

He jerked his arm forwards, causing the boy to lose his grip and stumble. Then he pushed him up against the wall, arm against his throat.

Then he realized what he was doing, eyes widening in horror. He quickly let go of the boy, backing away.

"What the hell was that for?" the boy asked angrily, massaging his throat where Sebastian's arm had been pressing into it.

Sebastian shook his head, quickly leaving and locking himself in his dorm before he did any more harm.
