Kurt sat next to Jake, feeling uncomfortable. Jake and alcohol never ended well, his bruises were hardly fading from last time. Well, the last time he hit his face, which he only did when he was drunk. He had plenty of fresh bruises in other places.
He glanced around the room, noticing a boy dressed as Harry Potter looking at him strangely. He shifted in his seat, hating the costume. It was so ridiculously slutty, but he couldn't argue with Jake.
Jake's costume was... well, Kurt had to admit it, he looked really hot. The silver showed off his green eyes perfectly, and it fit him perfectly everywhere. It wasn't clunky like most knight costumes, but still looked like a knight.
Before he knew it, Jake had pulled him down onto his lap and started kissing him. Kurt immediately kissed back, loving the moments where he showed affection.
"Having fun, kitty?" Jake asked him, voice affected by the alcohol.
Kurt faked a smile. "I always have fun when I'm with you," he said, kissing his boyfriend on the cheek. It left a black lipstick mark.
"You should get yourself something to drink," Jake said.
"Jake, I told you I don't drink," Kurt said. He didn't want to argue, but maybe he could get out of it.
"You need to loosen up, kitty," Jake said. He took Kurt off his lap and spanked him. Kurt winced slightly, but it wasn't anything that he wasn't used to.
"Go get yourself something," Jake told him.
Kurt nodded, not bothering to fake a smile when Jake couldn't see him.
Kurt got catcalled as he walked through the house but ignored it until one boy backed him up against a wall.
"Hey, cutie." Kurt could smell alcohol on the boy's breath.
"I'm not interested," Kurt said, attempting to get away.
The boy traced a finger down Kurt's shoulder. "Such luscious, creamy skin, kitty."
Kurt sighed, shutting his eyes briefly. He hated to do it, but Jake terrified everyone. Including him. "My boyfriend certainly thinks so. Maybe you know him. His name's Jake."
The other boy jumped away from him as if he had burst into flame, and Kurt felt a stab at his heart. "Oh god, please don't tell him. I didn't know."
"Just leave me alone," Kurt told him.
The other boy nodded profusely, leaving.
"Hey. Um, are you okay?"
Kurt sighed. Of course it was Harry Potter. Why did people follow him? "It's nothing I'm not used to."
He frowned. "I'm sorry. That must be awful."
Kurt kept walking, but he didn't leave him alone. "What do you want?" he asked eventually, seeing he wasn't leaving.
"I don't want anything. Well, your name would be nice. You just looked uncomfortable back there, I wanted to make sure you were okay. Blaine, by the way."
"Kurt. And I'm fine." Kurt hoped the boy would get off his back. Everybody wanted something from him, he wish he'd just cut to the chase.
"Are you sure?"
"I'm sure." How nosy was he?
"You know, you're a lot shyer than the costume suggests."
Of course. Probably expecting to hook up with some slut.
