Meredith P.O.V

"What are we getting for our party at school?" Lexie asked as we pulled into the grocery store parking lot.

"Well, Lex, we need Valentine's for the kids in your class, your teacher and we also are supposed to bring in cookies." I replied as Derek turned off the car.

"Can we make cookies?" Maddie asked

"Sure, Angel." I replied, smiling at my daughters.

"Can we do it for people at the hospital?" Lexie asked

"Sure, Princess. That's a good idea." Derek answered as he unbuckled and opened the door. He let the twins out whilst I got Bailey.

"No! Dada!" Bailey babbled.

"Bailey, dada has your sisters." I said

"No! No!" Bailey kicked as I unbuckled

"Bud, it's okay. Shopping time." I cooed as the baby wriggled in my arm.

"No, no! No, no!" Bailey Squirmed

"Wanna walk?" I asked, not really wanting to deal with a full tantrum.

"Walk!" Bailey stops squirming and smiles sweetly. I looked at Derek who just shrugged as he held onto the older ones. "Hi, dada!" He grinned as I walked with him next to Derek.

"Hi, Bud." He laughs as we reached the carts. "Come here." Derek lifted him into his arms, letting go of the twins for a moment, and kissed his cheeks.

"You need to be nice to mama. No kicking her. It's not nice."

Bailey just turned and gave him what Derek calls "the Meredith smile"

He laughed before placing him in the front seat of the cart.

"No!" Bailey bounced and stomped his feet.

"Here, Bails." I said as I grabbed a Valentine's Day cat from the display close to them.

Bailey sniffled and looked at me and then the cat. He took it and his crying calmed down. "Kitty." He showed me.
