The twins were finally coming home today. After the attack, Amelia and the Kids had been taken out of the safe house and allowed to return home, however Derek wanted the dreamhouse to be swept for any bugs or hidden cameras before the Kids came back.

After about 5 days, Bailey came home because Amelia had run out of breast milk, however the twins stayed away. We didn't want them to be alarmed by the abundance of security workers who were circling the house, installing cameras and checking for faults.

They found none and with all the new security measures, we felt safe enough to bring the Kids back.

To be honest, I'm not sure how I felt about the whole ordeal- It's like it didn't affect me as much as it should've. Last time, it had taken almost a year for me to fully open myself up to Derek again, however I didn't feel Like i had PTSD, I was just glad my family was safe and that Finn was behind bars for good.

That evening

We put the kids to bed and made our way downstairs to the living room to watch a movie. I still hadn't had the chance to try out Derek's new body yet and I was desperate to take him for a ride.

We obviously hadn't done anything since the break in, Derek being the perfect gentleman as always. But there's only so long a girl can wait when her husband is as hot as Derek Shepard.

Derek sat cross-legged on our deep sofa. Me sitting sideways to him, bottom in the circle of his legs, with my legs draped over his thigh. I had changed into my Dartmouth shirt and white flannel pajama bottoms before dinner, knowing how crazy it made Derek.
