Hymn to Selene

Muses, sweet-speaking daughters of Zeus Kronides

and mistresses of song, sing next of long-winged Moon!

From her immortal head a heaven-sent glow

envelops the earth and great beauty arises

under its radiance. From her golden crown the dim air

is made to glitter as her rays turn night to noon,

whenever bright Selene, having bathed her beautiful skin

in the Ocean, put on her shining raiment

and harnessed her proud-necked and glittering steeds,

swiftly drives them on as their manes play

with the evening, dividing the months. Her great orbit is full

and as she waxes a most brilliant light appears

in the sky. Thus to mortals she is a sign and a token.

A pure white wolf stood, like a size of a regular male wolf. Beside the white wolf, a glowing woman drape in white was stroking the head of the white wolf. As the wolf purrs at her touch and licks her hands.She has long golden locks, and pointed ears. A golden tiara was endowed on her head. She then spoke with a language that nobody heard off… But at that all the pack shifted to their wolves as if being commanded by this mysterious Godlike creature.

Then when she spoke everyone who has shifted understood her words.

“My children, I am your Luna, your mother, I am here briefly to ask for you to protect a very special child of mine. As she continues to pat the wolf of Selene, you see... she is but a direct decedent of the first werewolf. The last in her bloodline.

She carries a special kind of gift that other creatures will want to have.  She is the most special from her bloodline seen I have chosen her specifically to end the war with the hunters in order to attain peace to the entire werewolf race. Her old pack knows of her importance to your future, that is why they protected her and gave their lives for the greater good.  She will be choosing a few of you and will they will  be endowed with gifts as well”

“The alpha then stood and spoke, “you are our mother, our Goddess out Luna, we promise to protect her and to help her with her fight”

Murmurs of agreement from all shifted weres where heard.

“I thank your my children, I will be forever be here to guide you and she looked at the moon and disappeared”

At the same time, Leila then shifted back to her human form, she lay still unconscious.

The alpha was about to approached her to drape her since she is lying there naked, when a strong growl was heard.

A huge black wolf appeared protectively at Leila’s side as if daring anybody to approach her shall perish. Then He shifted and carried her in his arms.

As the two of them where leaving, the other pack members has already shifted, some were talking about what just happened with the Moon Goddess while some where talking if they were mates. The alpha spoke to the pack for a meeting in 10 minutes.

Unknown POV

Seeing her in his arms, I quickly jog to take her away from him, he should not be the one to care for her and to protect her, it should be me. My wolf is steering and is getting agitated that someone is holding Leila and not us.  He said “We cannot let that pass”

I was able to  catch  up with them, when suddenly he growled at me, as I looked at his eyes, they became dark orbs, and he let a stronger growled once more… This time I heard it loud and clear… He uttter  “MINE”!

Picture at the side of the Moon Goddess…I can’t think of anything that satisfies me as a goddess, I can only picture Galadriel from the Hobbit and LOTR series.
