Resentment was still in his veins. He knew he shouldn't be mad at you; it wasn't your fault, but he couldn't push himself to pin it on himself. He was the one to invite you to come to the office, and you were the one to contend, telling him it was a bad idea. It was his fault.

Though that was the case, as you stood behind him, watching as he scrambled with his wallet searching for paper money, he felt anguish towards you and wished you would leave him alone.

It wasn't your fault.

Turning around to glance at you, his eyes flickered over your face, reading your expression, and it made him feel bad when he saw the unawareness in your eyes. You had no clue why he was mad, but it was obvious that he was.

He felt bad for getting mad at you for just doing what he asked. And he didn't know if he felt bad because he was mad at you, or felt bad about the fact that you were completely oblivious to what he was mad about, but he let out a sigh.

"I'm sorry, y/n," he apologized lowly. An apology from a Kim was something you didn't expect to ever happen. You didn't think them feeling remorse was possible. "I'm not mad at you. And I know you think I am; you've been silent this entire time, but I'm not."

That was genuine relief to you. You had been trying to think over anything you could've done to make him mad, because it was either that, or someone pissed in his coffee this morning.

"It's okay, Namjoon," you assured, even though inside you couldn't deny the fact that you were scared of him. You hated the tension between you and him."I get it."

He sent you a sympathetic smile. "How much is your rent?"

"Uhh, 1000$," you answered.

That earned a nod and he continued to search for another moment before pulling out a few hundreds. He handed them to you, a stupid smirk on his lips. The look on his face made you weary, and you counted the bills, not wanting to get scammed.

Yeah, he had given you 10 hundreds, which was enough, but then there were 4 extra.

"Namjoon," you contended. "This is-"

He shut you down almost immediately, as if still apologizing for yelling. "It's fine. Take it and buy something for yourself. Buy some food. You're skin and bones, Ms. Lee."

"You're dramatic," you laughed. You didn't want the money... yeah, you did, but you wouldn't admit that. You couldn't take that much money from him. But you couldn't choose not to. "But whatever."
