Spending the night at Namjoon's house was fun until morning when you woke up naked in his bed, the morning sun coming in hot through the windows and beating tirelessly against your skin. The heavy blanket along with the heat of the sun made sweat bead on your forehead, and you tore the blanket off of you.
As soon as you did so, the bedroom door swung open, and you gasped.
Luckily, it was just a robed Namjoon, but he did jolt at your surprise, chuckling. He was holding a silver platter of food, like from those Disney movies, and you were surprised food didn't fly everywhere whenever he jumped.
"Oh. Didn't know you were awake. Morning. Seojin made us breakfast. Coffee and bagels," he said, shutting the door with his foot as he walked over to your naked self, not even fazed by the bareness of your body. He handed you your coffee. "I need to get my shower, but you can go to another bathroom. I need to put my suit on and stuff."
"When is it?" You asked, sipping the hot coffee.
He took a bite of his bagel, shrugging. "I think we have to be there by four. I'm not sure. Sio has all the details."
He set the tray on the bed beside you, leaving it to you to grab whatever you wanted off of it. He then stood back up and looked at you with a raised brow.
"Oh, and I have beef with you," he laughed, tellingly crossing his arms over his chest, the cotton fabric moving to reveal a bit of his pecks. "You scratched me to hell last night. There's red lines all up and down my back. I went downstairs in only my pants this morning and Seojin asked what had happened. You know how hard it was coming up with an excuse? What was I supposed to say?"
That made you smirk - you did well last night - and you took a proud bite of your bagel, grinning up at him. He stared right back down at you with a brow raised in question, scoffing.
"Ugh, you're naughty. I'm going to get everything ready. You take a shower." But he saw the blanket you had pulled over your bare body and suddenly remembered. "And until we're ready to go, you can wear my clothes. Here, uh, I'll go grab some."
Nodding, you watched as he walked off to his closet, disappearing inside. As he was gone, you ate your breakfast. You weren't that hungry, your brain more focused on the soreness of your body from last night, but you ate anyway, not wanting to regret not eating later.
When he came back out, he had his clothes hung lazily over his arm. He glanced over at you and smiled, walking over to stand in front of you. He set the clothes down beside you. "Here. It's nothing special, but it'll work for a bit."
You smiled, looking over at him to say 'thank you' without flashing a mouthful of food, but his expression furrowed judgmentally, and his hand reached out for your face.
No reluctance, you let him touch you, softly wiping the corner of your lips off with his thumb. He smiled as he pulled away. "That's better."
Looking at you softly, he felt his brain sting with that emotion, making his heart fall into the depths of his stomach, fluttering. He closed his eyes and looked away quickly, not wanting to feel it.
And glaring at the ground, he asked: "Do you need anything or are you good? I need to finish up some things and I don't want you struggling."
"I think I'm good," you said softly, confused by his change of emotions. One moment he was smiley and soft, the next shelled and angry. What was up with him? This was happening a lot lately, and you finally had enough. "But are you?"
"Hm?" He hummed, looking up, shocked. "Yeah... I'm fine."
Brows furrowing, you looked at him. He wasn't fine. He said he would tell you what he was feeling. He told you he wouldn't hide himself...
Today wasn't the day to argue with him, not with the party, but there was something wrong. This wasn't the first time his emotions had switched like this, and at first you tried not to question it, but it was still happening.
"You're not fine," you said, looking up at him. He refused eye contact as you stared at him, and that alone told you that, yes, he was lying to you. "You're acting strange... and you have been for the past few days."
"I am how I always am," he replied softly, shrugging. He knew you weren't going to shut up. "Please don't press it. Today is not the day-"
"You told me you wouldn't hide from me," you cut in, testing the limits. Maybe testing them a little too far as his hands fisted angrily at his sides, and you swallowed. "You told me you would tell me what you were feeling."
With another sudden change in emotions, feeling that statement of yours hit his heart, he let out a sigh, hands loosening. "I'm not ready, okay? We don't have time to do this today. Get ready. I'll talk to you after the party when we're alone."
He's not ready; don't press.
You scolded yourself, and sighed in assurance, nodding. "Okay."
He smiled down at you, his dark eyes softening, as he took one last sip of his coffee. "Eat up, and get ready. I'll be here if you need me. Just text me."
"Alright," you agreed, watching him walk out of the room without another word.
It was weird the way he was acting. He seemed bipolar; having so many different personalities that he could slip on at any given time.
There were so many sides to him - you swore there was a new one everyday. He was so sophisticated. Confusing. You couldn't help but question as you finished off your bagel more about his feelings; why he treated you the way that he did. You just couldn't wrap your head around why he seemed so caring, loving one minute and then the next he was cold, ignorant, and solipsistic.
It was like as soon as he realized that maybe you thought of him to not be scary and cold, he knew to make you rethink. Like he didn't want you to know that he was more than anger and lust, although he promised he wouldn't keep himself from you...
You knew his father was always pressuring him to not show how he really felt to people, and maybe that's what was happening with his emotions.
But what was he really feeling that he needed to hide it so often?

I don't have an excuse for not updating, but here it is. I know this chapter isn't much, but I think I like it.
But yeah, the party is today, and I'm so excited to continue writing!
