Chae-sul's POV

I woke up and looked around the room, surprised to see Chan curled up in the armchair. I looked at the clock on the wall. It was almost four in the morning. I groaned, getting off the couch and gently shaking Chan awake,

"What time is it?" he asked when he opened his eyes and saw me.

"Almost four, Come on, you're sleeping in my bed."

"No, I'm not kicking you out of your bed."

"You're not. Now come on." Confused, he got up and followed me to my room. I pointed to my bed. Still very confused and only half awake, he laid down. When he was laid down, I crawled into bed next to him.

"Chae-"

"No," I interrupted his protest. "You won't let me sleep in the floor and I'm not letting you sleep in the floor again. So here's the compromise."

"Fine," he huffed, closing his eyes and going back to sleep. I laid there for a minute, just looking at him. I still couldn't describe my feelings toward him, but I knew it was something I had never felt before. I sighed, snuggling into his chest. It was a nice feeling, and I never wanted it to go away.

Bang Chan's POV

I felt something small and warm against my chest. I pulled whatever it was closer as I fell back asleep.

Chae-sul's POV

I awoke to the feeling of arms around me. I opened my eyes and saw Chan holding me tightly against his chest. I sighed, laying my head back down and wrapping my arm around his waist. I knew there was no point in struggling to get out of his hold, so I might as well get comfortable.

After about twenty minutes, I felt him stirring.

"Good morning," he groaned, his voice gravelly with sleep.

"Good morning. You know, you have a really strong grip, even in your sleep."

"Oh, sorry." He unwrapped his arms from around my shoulders, sitting up. "Is it really already Sunday?"

"Yup."

"Ugh. I really don't want to go back to the school tonight."

"Imagine being in school." He rolled his eyes.

"Whatever." His faced turned serious. "Chae, does the name Jihya have any meaning to you?" I thought for a moment.

"It sounds familiar. But other than that, no." He nodded, as if he knew that would be the answer. "Why?" He shook his head.

"It's nothing." Solar opened the door.

"I'm kicking you guys out until this afternoon."

"May I ask why?" I questioned.

"Because I have someone coming over. He'll be here in a few minutes and trust me you do not want to be here when he arrives."

"On that note we are leaving," Chan declared.

"I still don't understand."

"You don't want to. Come on."

I wrapped my jacket tighter around me as we walked down the sidewalk, looking for a small cafe. I knew winter break was coming and Chan would have to go back to Australia to see his family.

"Here we go." He opened the cafe door, allowing me to go in first. We found a table and sat down. When the waitress came to our table, I had no idea what to order, so Chan ordered me a hot chocolate.

"So what are you doing for Christmas?" I asked.

"Well, I'm flying back to Australia with Felix the day after the break starts. We're going to do our Christmas shopping before we go home. Then my grandparents are flying in on Christmas Eve."

"Will you come see me before you have to go back to school?"

"I'm trying. It just depends on the weather and the flights." I nodded. "But I promise if I can't make it back, the first thing I'm doing the next weekend is coming to see you." I smiled as the waitress brought our drinks.

Bang Chan's POV

I didn't want to leave, but I had to talk to Ara before I went back to the school. I walked into the little boba shop we had agreed to meet at, easily finding her.

"Hi, Ara." I sat down at the table.

"Hello, Christopher. What questions do you have today." My heart was pounding with hope as I set my cell phone on the table.

"Do you happen to have any pictures from when you were about seventeen?" A confused look on her face, she pulled out her own cell phone and quickly pulled up an image. She handed me her phone, and my breath caught in my throat.

"That's from my eighteenth birthday, but I figure it's close enough." I grabbed my phone and found the picture I had taken with Chae-sul a few months ago, right after she told me she never remembered taking pictures of herself because she was never allowed to have any social medias or even a phone. Comparing the pictures, everything I was hoping wouldn't be true was confirmed. I handed my phone to Ara.

"Oh my," she gasped, tears in her eyes. "That's her. That's my daughter."

"Ara, I think we should go to the police." She nodded, grabbing her purse.

"We should go now."
