The start of a fresh morning. I was up at 7. Cyrus and Reese started the Re-Tail at 9 so they had time. I asked them how to make money here.
"Oh! Well, did I tell you that we can buy stuff from you?" Reese asked me.
"Hmm...I don't seem to remember." I responded.
"Well, anything that is in your pocket can turn into bells!" Reese smiled.
"Okay, what can I sell?" I asked.
"Fish, bugs, underwater sea creatures, furniture, fossils, gyroids, tools, fruits, shells, plants, carpets, wallpapers, and more, kiddo." Cyrus listed.
"Hmm..." I pondered.
"It is very easy to make bells here. All you need is patience and time." Reese told me.
"Got it. Oh! Did I tell you that when I adapt to •Fruity• more, I'll be the mayor?" I announced.
"WHAT?!" Cyrus yelled.
"Oh my goodness! Are you sure?" Reese looked worrisome. "Isabelle told me that being a mayor is very hard!"
"It just takes great leadership. I'm good at that." I explained. "That is my goal. This town needs a little fix up. I can make it shine."
"Okay, there's no one stopping you." Cyrus shrugged.
"I agree with my honey-boo. I can't wait for your mayorship!" Reese clapped.
"Thank you." I thanked them. I walked to the door.
"Where are you going?" Reese asked me.
"To Lolly's house." I answered her.
"Wait, I have to give you something first." Reese went to her bedroom and came back with a piece of clothing. "Tada! Your work uniform!"
"What?"
"If you want extra bells, you can work at the Re-Tail in the afternoons. From 1 o'clock to 2 thirty." Reese informed me.
I took the apron. "Thanks." I went out the door.
To Lolly's house I go. Lolly told me she's up at 7. Perfect time to ask her what can I sell.

"Hello! It's Berry!" I knocked.
Lolly opened the door. "Oh, hi Berry! Come on in!"
Lolly grabbed some tea that she made and we sat down at her table.
"So how was your first night?" She asked me.
"It was comfy." I told her. We both started giggling. "So today, I'm going to start making some money."
"What's money?" She said in a curious tone.
"I mean bells."
"Oh. That's great! Do you know that the Re-Tail can buy your items?"
"Yep. Reese told me."
"Oh, right, she lives with you. I can tell you how to start getting bells already."
"I don't have any tools, though."
"You don't need tools, yet. All you have to do is gather some fruit and collect some seashells from the beach."
"Okay. Thank you, Lolly." I bowed down to her.
"Oh, wait! You're going already? Let me come with you!"
"Yeah, let's do that!"
Lolly and I went out of her house. We were walking down to the beach and we ran into Coach.
"Hey! Sorry, guys. Can't talk. Doing morning exercises. See ya!" He ran off.
At the beach, Lolly and I found so many seashells. Some were washed up corals.
"As a kitten, I always wanted to find a pearl. I couldn't find any in the shells." Lolly told me.
Next, we went to get some fruits.
"•Fruity• is famous for its oranges." Lolly said.
"If its called •Fruity•, then, would it have a lot of fruits?" I questioned.
Lolly made a frown. "We only have one fruit growing. None of us know how to grow other fruits. Some of our friends send us fruits from other towns, but, we are not really great gardeners. They wilt."
"Hmm..." I pondered.
"What are you thinking about?" Lolly asked me.
"In your house, I saw a lot of books. Are you a bookworm?" I asked.
"Yes! I love books! Reading books is my hobby!" She jumped for joy.
"Mine too!" I told her. We both laughed.
I went up to an orange tree and started climbing it. I was not a great tree climber. It was the only way, though. How else am I going to get fruits?
"Berry! That's not how to get-"
"AAAAAHHHH!" I fell to the ground on my back.
"Berry! Are you okay?!" Lolly gasped.
"Ow...climbing trees is not my thing." I was in a medium amount of pain.
"Here, this is how you get fruits." Lolly helped me up.
Lolly went to a tree and started shaking it. Three oranges fell down to the ground.
"Here. Put it in the basket." Lolly told me. Wait, when did she get a basket?
"Where did you get the basket?" I asked her.
"Like this." Lolly held two oranges in her hand. She put the oranges together as one, which turned into a basket with the two oranges in it. "Magic."
"Lolly, you're a magician?" My eyes went wide.
"Hm? Oh! No, no, no! It's just, well, um, I don't know how to explain this. Whenever you put two fruits together, they make a basket." Lolly scratched her head.
We went to more fruit trees and shook them. Lolly told me that one basket can hold up to nine fruits. Cool.
We had six fruits right now. We went to the last tree to shake. Three oranges fell, but one of them looked weird. It looked like a golden pear.
"What is this?" I asked Lolly.
"Uwa! That's a perfect orange!" She gasped. "This is a rare finding! Perfect fruits are a rare fruit from their kind. Oranges have them, apples have them, pears have them, cherries have them, and peaches have them."
"Wow! So cool!" I gazed at it.
"We should save it and plant it. Not sell it." Lolly said.
"Good idea!" I agreed.
A little bit after that conversation, it was 9. The bell rang. It had a pleasant tune to it.
"The •Fruity• town tune always rings when the next hour comes." Lolly informed me. We walked to the Re-Tail.
"Oh! Hi Lolly, hi Berry!" Reese greeted us. "What would you like to sell?"
"Some shells and one basket of oranges." I told her.
"The cost comes to....978 bells." Reese smiled.
"Okay, thank you!" I traded my items for the bells.
Lolly and I did make a lot of money. If I was back at home, our family would be rich!
"We made a lot of money!" I clapped.
"Oh, it's actually not that much." Lolly said. "It's different from your place, you see."
"Oh, well we made some bells." I giggled nervously.
I feel embarrassed.
