Writing a Letter

"Um, thank you for walking me home." I blushed.

"No problem. Berry, I want to tell you something...When I'm around you, I get this weird feeling like we know each other or something. Gosh, now I feel embarrassed telling you that..." Alex smacked his head.

I smiled at him and went inside of the house.

"Ah!" I screamed. I tripped over a box with a white wrapping and a ribbon. I remembered about what I saw on the news earlier.

I took a look at the present. There was a tag on the ribbon. I read it:

This was found flying with a balloon. I knew we just met, but here...just for you! Love: Alex

I blushed and I ran to my room. I hid this where no one could ever find this. I probably won't even remember this. Love? Seriously? I put it away.

I took out a piece of paper that I had kept if I wanted to draw on the train ride here. I took out a pencil and started to write.

Dear Mommy and Daddy,

 I just figured out that I can talk to you! Isn't that amazing? I'll tell you about how much fun I am having here. I met all of the nice villagers here. They act like family to me. First there is Lolly. She is my guide and my very good friend. She loves to read and loves to drink tea with her friends. Then there is the full-of-energy Dotty. She loves popularity and fashion. Next is Kitty. She is so beautiful and knows a lot about girl stuff. There's also Bob who loves to eat and is lazy and Coach who is jockey and loves his abs and biceps. I also met Curt who is just like you, Daddy. I went to his house and learned more about him, so now we are good friends. Actually, everybody that is here a good friend of mine. I love it here! I almost forgot about a boy named Alex. He's my age and acts just like Carter. Weird, right? I can't wait to see you guys again. I miss you so much.
