Meeting Someone New

Lolly and I were walking back to her house. We planned on going shopping later after 10.

"So, we can buy tools from the Nookling Junction." Lolly stated. "They each cost 500 bells."

"978 minus 500 equals...478 bells." I calculated.

"Since it's summer, I suggest buying a fishing rod first and then a net." Lolly informed me.

We went back to her house to have a sit and chat time.

"Hi, Lolly and Berry!" Dotty waved at us. "Watcha guys doing?"

"We were collecting fruits and seashells to get some bells." I explained to Dotty.

"Oohh! That's fun! I'm going to Bob's house to give him some baked goodies I made." Dotty gleefully said. "Bye!"

"Bye!" Lolly and I waved.

We kept walking to Lolly's house. A butterfly flew by my face. I think it was a white butterfly.

"Wait! Stay still!" A boyish voice yelled.

"What's that?" Lolly wondered.

"Watch out!"

CRASH!

"Owweee..." I got up. "Huh? Who are you?"

"Ow...oh! The name is Alex. Sorry about the crash and everything." The boy blushed.

"Oh! I totally forgot about you, Alex!" Lolly gasped. "Where were you?"

"Aw, I was at the tropical island making some more bells. Look what I got, Lolly!" Alex took out a grey axe. "It's a silver axe! Very rare finding."

"Where is Alex's house on the map?" I asked Lolly.

"Near the plaza...right here!" Lolly showed me.

"So, Berry's the name, huh. Nice name for a pretty girl." Alex poked my forehead. His blue eyes were staring at me. His hair was pretty nice. A nice light brown with some spikes on the side.

"Um...thanks." I stated.

"Whatcha girls doin'?" Alex asked us.

"We're making some bells." Lolly smiled. "We're going to the Nookling Junction."

"And buying tools." I added.

"Buying tools...I suggest the fishing rod." He gave me advice. "I want to come with you."

"Okay." I said. "How long have you've been in •Fruity•?"

"Four months later after it opened." Alex told me.

I kept asking him questions, trying to compare him to Carter. They both had the same personality.

At least I'm not the only human.
