Animal Crossing: Your Characters' Perspective

EW! BUGS!

The next morning when I woke up, it was 10 o' clock a.m. I overslept! I got ready really fast, put on a blue shirt, put my shorts on, placed my new ribbon on my head, tie my hair, put on my shoes, and RAN. On the way, I saw Alex looking at the sky. What was he doing?

"Hi, Alex." I greeted him.

"Hm? Oh, hi Berry." He responded. "Nice day, right?"

"I guess." I shrugged. He smirked a little.

I went to the Main Street to go to the Nookling Junction. I wanted to try to catch some bugs. Lolly told me that bugs cost a lot of money, too, just like fish. I was just dreaming of being rich, having a big house, eating rich foods, and being popular. My other friends...well...they didn't really like me.

"Ya know...that skirt was SO last year. If ya want to be just like us, then ya gotta wear stuff like us. They just cost over $20. Oh wait, I forgot, you're so poor! AHAHAHA!" Then they would push me to the floor, but I didn't mind. I liked what I wore. I didn't care what other people thought. I just went with it and I was happy. Always be happy, that's what my grandmother would tell me.

"Even is those mean bratty brats be mean to you, just stand up and say, whatevs...am I talking like the present?" She would ask me. I would say, keep on trying Grannie!

I went into the shop.

"Hello there!" Timmy greeted me.

"Hi, Timmy." I responded.

"Oh, I'm not Timmy. I'm Tommy. Sorry for the confusion. I always get mixed up with my twin brother." He sighed.

"Sorry about that. Do you have a net on stock today?" I asked.

"Oh, yes we do! That would be 500 bells, please!" He nodded. I gave him the bells and was on my way. "Bye-bye! Come back again soon!"

"Bye!"

I took out my new net that I bought. I had a fear of crawling bugs, but today, I will get over it! I went back to town.

"Hi, Berry!" Dotty greeted me.

"Hi." I waved back.

"Going to catch some bugs, right?" Dotty confirmed with me.

"Yeah.....but, I don't know if I have the courage to."

"That's okay. I was scared at first when I first held that net. My first bug was a honeybee. A HONEYBEE. I was screaming, so Coach and Bob sold the bug for me and then I only caught butterflies and stuff that are.....girly." We both giggled. "Oops! I almost forgot! I have some errands to do. Well, catch ya later, Berry!" She walked away.

I looked for bugs on the ground, on flowers, on trees, and in the air. I wanted my first bug to be not a honeybee like Dotty. I want mine to be a little bit calmer than that. Then, I saw a rainbow thing on the tree right behind me. I walked up very closely to it, trying not to yell, and then.....

Bugs......bugs......I hate them.....they always fly away.......they are disgusting little creatures that pollute our world....

I placed my net on my back again. Then, I saw a green bug on another tree. I snuck up to it with my net and then.....

I hate all of them! What the heck! I can't do this anymore. This is impossible!

I fell to the ground. I hit my net on the ground. But, something was moving in it. I carefully took it and I saw the most gorgeous butterfly ever! It was big and had nice green lines on it. Lolly came up to me when I held it in my hand.

"Oh, cool! That's a birdwing butterfly! Lucky you! Is this your first bug?" She asked me.

"Yep! Wow! It's so beautiful!" I told her. "Should I keep it?"

"My opinion is yes. You can do whatever you want with that."

"I'll keep it. It's too beautiful to sell." I smiled. "So what are you doing, Lolly?"

"Oh, I was gonna go to Bob's house and bring him some chocolate cake with some tea I got yesterday. Coach is also gonna come along. Wanna join us?"

"Sure!" I got up from the ground and we walked together.
