"Now, if I remember correctly, Coach should be near the plaza waiting for us to pick him up." Lolly said.
"How do you know that?" I asked her.
"Well, after lunch, he usually goes there to do his stretches." She chuckled.
"Oh, okay...wait....after lunch!?" I gasped. I totally forgot about eating lunch!
"Um, Berry, are you okay? You seem a bit...worried..." Lolly asked me.
"Uh, I'm okay..." I grinned. Lolly scratched her head.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It took us a couple of minutes to go to the plaza because we were walking slow and talking.
"Yo, Lolly! What took you so long! I've been waiting for 10 minutes!" Coach yelled. He was sweaty and out of breath.
"Sorry, Coach, I brought Berry along with me." Lolly apologized.
"Hey, Berry-ladybro." Coach waved.
"Hi." I responded.
"So, let's go then! We wouldn't want that cat to starve in his own house." Coach walked in front of us and then we were off.
~~~~~~~~~~~
"So, about Bob's house....it's kind of....kiddish..." Lolly smiled weirdly.
"Yeah, but the cool thing about Bob, is that his birthday is on New Years!" Coach said.
"Really? That's so cool!" My face lit up.
I imagined a big celebration with Bob's party and New Years.Lolly knocked on the door.
KNOCK! KNOCK!
"Who's there?" Bob asked.
"Lolly." Lolly answered.
"Lolly who?"
"We brought you chocolate cake and tea!"
Bob slammed the door opened and jumped on Lolly. I guess he's really obsessed with food or specifically, dessert.
"Wow! Berry is here, too! This is gonna be so fun and delicious!" Bob screamed.
We went inside of his house. Surprisingly, Lolly and Coach were right, his house is full of kids' stuff. I wonder how he feels about his house. This place is like a dream world for little boys.
"Heh, heh, sorry for the whole....interior of this place...." Bob embarrassedly laughed.
"Why do you have all of these stuff that looks like it's for little children?" I asked him.
"Well....wait, what were we talking about again?" Bob tilted his head.
"Your room, stupid." Coach reminded him.
"Oh yeah.....I have a friend named Pietro....he looks like a clown....oh that Pietro.....I'll never forget his clown face...his rainbow colored wool....his house was full of balloons....oh that Pietro....the end." Bob recited. "Thank you..."
We all stared at him.
"She asked why do you have all this stuff, cake head! Why do you have to be so dumb? Oh right, you're a cat." Coach scolded him.
"So....so I'm dumb and stupid, too?" Lolly teared up. "No matter how much I read, I'm still a dumb and stupid cat?"
"N-no! Not you, Lolly! I was talking about Bob! No no! You're really smart, Lolly! You know about everything! Please, ladybro, I was talking about Bob!" Coach apologized. His face was funny when he said that to Lolly.
Lolly sniffed. Then....the tears started to flow. Bob took the cake from her hands and ate it. Coach kept on apologizing to her. I was just standing there...with a box of tissues. I gave them to Coach and sat down next to Bob. He offered me some of the cake. It was a strawberry cake. My favorite.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
So the day ended with Bob and I drinking tea, Lolly sleeping on his bed, and Coach hiding himself in the corner. It was....something today. I mean...yeah, something. I caught my first bug, a beautiful one, went to a friend's house, and ate cake. Well, I think I'm going to take a nap. Bob was also going to take a nap. Coach is still in the corner.
Oh, that's right, I still got to adapt to this town to become the mayor.
