Before we get into it, you need some background info about the storyline and characters etc. so you understand what happens prior to the story :)

Jorgia Taylor was born on the 28th March and was an orphan at a private care home in England. She was adopted when she was 9 by an American couple, Sarah and Matt Taylor. They had been trying for a baby but nothing was working so they decided to adopt. (I think you can adopt kids from anywhere in the world but that might not be entirely correct so we'll just pretend it is aha) Jorgia moved into their beachside home in a small estate on Long Island, just outside of NYC. She attends the private school Oakleze Academy in NYC, but wants to move to Hunter Performing Arts in pursuit of her Broadway dreams. Both of these schools are all-through (5-18yrs) so she was able to take her SATs as a freshman. (This is fictional and purely for the story!)

Jorgia then successfully auditioned for the new Broadway musical 'Beetlejuice'; she was cast as ensemble and understudy Lydia Deetz. Everything is going smoothly until June 27th, when Sarah and Matt are involved in a helicopter crash in California. Unfortunately, they didn't survive the crash, and were 2 of the 6 victims of the accident. Jorgia then temporarily moves in with her best friend Ella Wilkes, who lives on the same street as her. In August that same year a new couple offer to adopt Jorgia: Noah and Amy Williams.

Noah Williams is down to be the next 'Evan' in 'Dear Evan Hansen', while Amy is a fashion stylist/photographer. Jorgia moves back into her old house with them: they accept and love her as if she was their own, in doing so they ask her to go to therapy to help her cope with her bereavement over the loss of Sarah and Matt.

In December that year Jorgia gets news that her request for school transfer has been approved, and that she will be starting Hunter Performing Arts in January as an Outsourced Talent Student. (this isn't real I made it up to give context in the story, also you'll see me refer to it as 'OTS' a lot) This means that she will be sent work to complete weekly, and does not have to attend daily lessons in the school building.

I think that's all the background information you should need for where we pick up, if I started the story with her as an orphan it would be extremely long and boring lol. Anyways I'm done interrupting so enjoy x
