**time skip brought to you by Ratatousical**
This is it. The moment I've waited for. And I think I'm going to be sick. I've had 1 venti hibiscus and 2 cups of camomile, and I'm still a big bag of nerves. My short, black wig has just been put on and I love it. 'I think I should cut my hair this short' says my inner rebel.

Snapchat: from blonde boy💜
"Huh.."
blonde boy💜: happy debut Jorgia! You are going to blow them all away, I just know it xx
Another embarrassingly cheesy grin crept up my face as I reply faster than Usain Bolt.
Me: awh thank you so much Ben, that really means a lot. I'm so nervous though, what if the all the 'bigwigs' don't like the way I play Lydia? And they prefer Sophia? I'm gonna be out of a job faster than you can say Beetlejuice😭
blonde boy💜: why would you think that? I've heard you sing and honestly you took my breath away. Jorgia Taylor, you are the best person for this I know it. Sophia dropped out for a reason, maybe it was a sign from the universe that you are supposed to be Lydia. Take a deep breath, put on a smile and go show them what you're made of 😘xx
blonde boy💜: just realised that putting on a smile might not be the most Lydia thing, so put on a resting bitch face instead😂xx
Me: did you seriously mean all of that? You are the kindest ever thank you, and yes my resting bitch face will be there😂xx
blonde boy💜: you've got this❤️
"I think I'm dreaming.."
"Dreaming about what?" Presley questioned, touching up her makeup. Damn I need to stop thinking out loud
"Oh nothing, don't worry" I try to shrug it off but she grabs the phone out of my hand.
"This isn't nothing, IT'S A BOY!" She shrieks. I forgot how subtle Presley is.
"5 minutes till curtain. This is your 5 minute call" Boom. Saved by the bell
"Fine. You won for now. Lets go slay this thing." She slides my phone across the table and grabs my hand as we run to places.

I can't believe I did it. My debut Act 1. And I can't believe I'm ending it in the loo spilling my guts. I think it's nerves, I've not eaten much and I've had a lot of camomile so maybe it's that. I can feel the panic rising through me.
'I can't back out now.' I think to myself 'I'll get through Act 2 I can do this. I WILL do this!'
"5 minutes till act 2. This is your 5 minute call". Okay let's do this.
Fingers crossed no one finds out.**act 2**
I can feel the tears spilling out of my eyes, it's brought back so many memories. Memories that are real, and still raw.
'I miss you Sarah and Matt' I think to myself as I run off stage to prepare for 'Creepy Old Guy'.-
I can hear the standing ovation as Alex B and I come up through the trapdoor of the stage. He runs forward and takes his bow, before signalling me to join him. As I run forward, I can hear the crowd cheering and clapping louder and louder, I'm shocked that people can make that much noise. And it's for me, they're cheering ME! We all take one final bow before our director Alex T comes out on stage to join us, the applause dying down as he starts to speak.
"Thank you everyone for coming out tonight to watch our opening performance of Beetlejuice: The Musical! Never in a million years did I think we would get the incredible turnout we have tonight." The applause briefly starts again before he continues, "I have a few special thank-yous to give tonight." Alex T thanks the cast, creative team, writers, musicians etc. before turning to smile at me. "And lastly, a huge thank you to our Lydia, Jorgia Taylor for stepping up to the mark."
Hold up, what?
"As many of you already know, Jorgia picked up the role of Lydia about a week and a half ago, after the girl originally cast dropped out. She was meant to be having her broadway debut as u/s Lydia, Skye the girlscout and a major ensemble member today. But circumstances change, and in just over a week, she has transformed into the best Lydia we could ask for, so please give Jorgia Taylor another round of applause."
I'm pushed centrestage before another standing ovation occurs; my cheeks going bright red and the biggest smile forming on my face. I take one last bow, and out of the corner of my eye I spot Presley walking towards me with something in her hand. She hands me the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers I've ever seen, how did I get so lucky? Presley smiles at me and runs to join the rest of the cast as we take our final bow on opening night.
"OH MY GOD THAT WAS INSANE!!" I scream when Presley and I get back to our dressing room.
"GIRL YOU WERE INSANE!!" She screams back, pulling me into a hug so tight I can barely breathe. Presley Ryan for you.
"YOU ARE THE BEST GIRLSCOUT EVER EVER EVER!" I shout, jumping up and down while she continues to suffocate me. We break apart, and start to get unready for our FIRST EVA STAGEDOOR BABY!
As I'm having my wig removed and I'm taking off my makeup, I see a snapchat from Blonde Boy. 'I'll look at it later, tonight is about me not boys' I think to myself, sticking to my New Years vow. There is no way I'm letting some random newsie get in the way of my evening; my broadway debut. Sorry sis, you'll have to wait.
**after stagedoor**
After stagedoor we went to the afterparty, and it was so much fun. Everyone was on such a high after the most incredible opening performance, I loved every second of it - bring on show number 2!
