"What are you doing here so alone?"

Your sudden question startled the boy, as the turned around to see who was actually speaking to him.

"Uh, well..", he managed to get out, "I'm just resting".

You could clearly see your presence made him nervous as you studied his reaction in detail.

Interesting.

"Ah, well then, I should probably leave you alone right?", you were about to turn around as he interrupted you quickly: "Ah no, you don't have to leave!".

Perfect.

You sat down next to him, and studied his appearance. He has black hair, parted in the middle, and wore these glasses that could immediately tell you which subculture he belonged to, probably tall, as he was already slightly bigger than you just sitting next to you.

Can't say he's not cute. Kind off dig the nerdy look.

Your eyes fell on the lunch box next to him. "Oh. Did you eat here alone? Why didn't you eat with your friends?" "I", he paused, "Don't really have any to be honest".

Even better.

"Well then, I'll be your friend! I'm Hirai Y/N!", you said while extending your arm with a big smile on your face. Your proposal shook him as he turned to you with his eyes slightly widened, he took your hand and shook it. "I'm Suguru Niragi". You turned your heads back and both stared out at the view in front of you. "So if I get this straight, You eat here every lunchbreak, all by yourself?" "Well, yes", "Kind of sad right?", he scoffed.

"Let's make a deal. From now on, we'll have lunch together, here, every lunchbreak!". Your second proposal made him widen his eyes once again in surprise. "Y-you? And me? Are you sure?", he stuttered. "Of course! I can't let you eat here all alone now you've told me this!" You held out your pinky as an indication to secure the promise. He went in with it and gave you a shy, but sweet smile in response.

Tingling.

What was that?

You felt a sudden tingling sensation in the place where seems to be your heart.

What is that? What's happening? I've never... felt anything like this before? Am I okay? Has my time finally come?

You were so deep in your thoughts that you didn't notice you had been staring at his face this whole time.

"Y/N?" "What's wrong?", his voice took you out of your trance of thoughts.

"So I know I'm asking a lot of questions, but can I ask, why is it that you don't have any friends?"

"They're picking on me". "They hate me, and I don't know what I've ever really done wrong to them".
