Gunshots were to be heard all throughout the resort. The screams of innocent people being slaughtered echoed throughout the corridors. Deafening sounds that would make you collapse if you still had some sense of mind. The feelings
The fear
The adrenaline
The undecipherable dilemma that made you choose to be good or immoral.
My heart strongly desires him, so I'll have to side with him, correct?
Do I partake in an unnecessary killing spree? Will I view them as inferior and useless lives that are just little pawns to play the game with?
-You've done this before Y/N, why are you making such a big deal out of it now?
It just doesn't feel right somehow
-Can you hear yourself thinking? Have you grown attached to these strangers?
No, absolutely not. It's not that I'm questioning all of this for the sake of their lives. We just need to win the game, but I deeply know this is not the way how. At least if I don't want myself killed, I will have to side with them, end this game, and get out of this hell hole
I got dragged up the stairs right to the first floor. The people were running in all directions, far away from militants whom were chasing them like preys.
The small piece of corridor where we walked into fell quiet, our eyes fell on the few militants stopping in front of a group of people that came running from the opposite direction. Weirdly enough they didn't immediately shoot, they were just there, standing, holding their weapons up.
"What are they hesitating for?", Niragi said with an eyebrow raised.
He let go of my hand and confidently strode towards the group of people, bumped the man in the front away, and mercilessly mowed down the front row the small group in a single wave.
"We have no time to waste with these people", he said with an amused smirk on his face.
The militants instantly understood his words and began emptying their ammunition into the crowd, making the people run for their lives again.
"This is child's play to you isn't it?", I asked him as I walked up next to him, my gun now in my hand.
"Obviously", he responded, that same smirk still on his face.
We continued to follow the militants that were chasing the fleeing mass. I looked at the remaining time on the phone
'01:40:00'
it's all right, we can do this
I heard a squeal from my right, which drew my attention. I turned my head to see a young woman reaching for her leg in pain, and a young man next to her, holding his arm over her as a form of protection.
"Stop it. Neither one of us is the witch!", he yelled at me as I took a step closer.
Before I could say or do anything Niragi already stepped in and fired bullets into the young man's body.
"Please.. Don't kill me. I'll do anything!", the woman pleaded.
I could hear Niragi let out a sigh. He then came up behind me, took my arm and straightened it out in front of me, and pulled the trigger with my finger still on it of the gun I was holding, firing bullets into the woman that killed her instantly.
"You know I could've done that myself", I said as I turned around to face him with an annoyed gaze.
"You were taking too long", he said and gave me a smile.
