----------- Niragi pov

Almost high on antidepressants, I tried to get work done, but of course, I was getting nowhere. Working as a game engineer was pretty stressful, as the big company I worked for could set you up with looming deadlines, set high expectations, and simply said rob you from your sleep. Not to complain though, the job does pay you much higher than any other average jobs out there. That is simply the path I chose. After she left me, I spiraled back into the hole of depression. My mom encouraged me to see a professional, and I eventually did, hence why I'm trying to fill the voids empty emotions with the neurotransmitter balancing drug, also called antidepressants which were once prescribed to me. I had gone through a transformation. I didn't want to be the old Niragi anymore. The weak, vulnerable, looked down on Niragi, he was dead to me. Of course, I had adapted my personality over time as I was studying, but the look also had to go. The first thing I had done once I got this job was to completely get rid of the glasses, and got the awesome piercings I had always wanted. I know I couldn't change everything, but at least I could pretend I fully was.

-"Oi Niragi, are you going to finish that one task we delivered you or are you just going to keep procrastinating all day or what?", my supervisor suddenly came up behind me, he had probably noticed me drowning in my own thoughts, blankly staring at the computer screen in front of me.

"Yes chef", I responded, jokingly making a military gesture. He then walked away, giving me a moment to come back to my senses. I decided I was going to try and do some of my tasks but got up to go to the bathroom first. I looked at myself in the mirror and turned on the faucet to take some water to splash my face.

"Focus Niragi", I looked my reflection right in the eyes. I turned off the faucet and grabbed a paper towel to dry my face. Taking another deep breath, I set the intention to get some work done, and head towards the door of the bathroom, as suddenly the power went out.

"Huh?".

I walked out of the bathroom, the office that was just full of other developers, now being completely vacant.

"Where did everybody go?"

I looked in almost all of the separate offices, rooms, but I couldn't find a single person. I felt super confused, but at the same time it kind of relieved me, being away from all these people, I could finally have some rest. I made my way out of the big building, noticing there was also no one to be found anywhere in town. I was honestly clueless, but I took the time to figure out some kind of clarification on what was going on.

Time skip

I could say I've already spent some time here now. This place was an absolute madhouse, and I was starting to like it. I've played a fair amount of these 'games now', and have collected some player cards. To my conclusion diamond games were the easiest for me. They seemed to require some kind of decent logic and rationality, which I was a fan of. I met a special person last night. We both completed the same game. He tried to convince me to join this 'utopia' project he was working on, and I would be part of his 'executive' members since I was one of the first ones he had approached.

"Be the change you want to see in the world. Meet me back here tomorrow if you have made up your mind".

I decided to go with his offer and met back up with the man. He took me to some kind of resort, a royal hotel I suppose.

-"This is it, the beginning of the utopia, the beginning of hope!", the man exclaimed. "You've made a good decision young man, this is your home now", he said as he grabbed my shoulders.

I wasn't the only one who was 'recruited', it seems as if he had gathered a whole team. He called us the 'executives' of his utopia that will be called 'The Beach'.

-"it's important that we stick together, unite as one, as we will fight to leave this miserable country! Never forget what Ghandi said: 'Be the change you want to see in the world'. Feel free to develop yourself in your most truest form! Feel the power, feel the freedom, and do as you please, there are no rules here! The only rules are to have fun, and of course, as this place will be called the beach, we will all be wearing swim suits right? Together we will gather all the cards, together we will put an end to this!".

'be the change you want to see in the world', that sounded good. I always desired to change myself, the real world just wouldn't let me. Here, I could be whoever I want, do as I please, without having to care about consequences, 'my most truest form'. Isn't it time to switch the roles? I'm sick of being the hunted, the picked on, the worthless one, now it is my turn. My turn to be the one to inflict pain and hatred on others.

--"Hey, you there, young man, are you interested in joining the militants?", a tall man with big muscles spoke to me. He gave of leader energy, I'd look up to him.

"Militants? What's that?"

--"In order to keep peace at the beach, we're going to create a group of guards, 'protectors', we will be the ones in charge of weapons". Weapons? That sounds more like it.

"Yes, yes of course I want to join"

--"Great, follow us". I followed the man who was accompanied by a few other men to the place that seems to be the future 'storage room'. He handed out weapons to the other men, before looking at me. "You, you'll be our sniper, you're in charge of the big gun now".

I took the big weapon in my hands, it making me a little anxious, as I had never shot one of these before, but it also made me feel, Powerful?

--"If you want to practice, we're doing trainings tonight, outside of the terrain, come if you like".

This, This was it, everything I desired for.

------------------------------

-"Please! I wasn't! I swear! please!", the man begged for his life, his face and clothes stained from all the blood he had already lost. I aggressively hit him once again, and he was back on the ground, barely being able to move. I grabbed him by the hair and lift him up a bit, making him look at me.

"Now, can you say that again, without showing you're lying this time?", I put the big gun under his chin. He was shaking, almost not able to speak any more words, his eyes showing pure terror. It excited me immensely. I hit his face with the gun one more time, making him unconscious.

"Get rid of him, we don't need any more traitors", I ordered some other militants, before walking out of the room.

"I will live on to be hated... then proudly fall into hell."
