Chapter 6: "Seriously, what is wrong?"

It's been more than a month since I became friends with Niragi. We've been lunching together every day as promised, and we're much more cautious when going back downstairs, so we won't run into the bully squad as much. Niragi is still being taunted by them tho, but they keep doing it at moments I'm not around, which makes me feel totally powerless, and I hate it.

Also We're actually much closer now, like best friends you could say. And to be honest, I've been pretty much enjoying the time I've spent with him. I just, feel at ease with him? I don't know what's happening to me. Normally I could never actually feel attached to someone but with him, he's just so different. He opened up a bit more to me. He's told me about how he handles the constant harassing, but the very best, he told me about his fantasies. The bullying has a big toll on him. I thought it just would make him depressed, which he actually moderately is, but wow. He told me how he fantasizes about murdering them, shooting them, torturing them and even beating them, and you know what,

I like that side of him.

He looks so innocent, so nerdy, so average, but yet, imagining him as that whole other person, imagining him finally being the one in control,

It makes me feel things.

We're back on the rooftop as usual.

"No I swear! I was like, paying attention before, but like I just happened to start daydreaming out of the blue when he was looking and he freaking told me to go outside! I swear he really hates me what the hell dude", I said.

Niragi started laughing hard, and I started to laugh along with him.

"Like seriously what did I ever do wrong to him I get amazing grades?", I said chuckling.

"That's something would typically happen to you Y/N", he said still half laughing.

"Whatever I may get a low attitude grade but the others won't be", I said flicking my hair and rolling my eyes ironically. "How 'bout you Niragi? Don't you have anything new?", I asked.

-"Like what?", he responded

"Hmm don't you have a crush on anyone now?", I asked poking his arm with my elbow.

Niragi gulped. "So you do! Is Niragi in loove~?", I teased him further.

"ah .. no.. of course not", he answered blushing.

"Who is it? Tell me! Please I'm so curious now!", I asked excitedly.

-"Ah whatever.. She probably doesn't like me at all, why would she like someone like me..", he said frowning but still blushing.

"You don't know that! Confidence Niragi! You gotta have confidence! That's the most important!", I reassured him.

-"How about you then huh?" he asked provocatively. "Aren't Youu crushing on someone then?"

"Nah I don't do that type of stuff", I responded calmly.

-"yeah probably", he replied, his eyes squinting.

"Also Niragi, we've been lunching together everyday now, but we still haven't actually ever hung out outside of school?"

-"Ah yes true.. Do you maybe.. like want to go to my house after school? It's Friday anyway so we don't really have to do homework today?", he proposed.

"Yes sure I'd love to!", I replied smiling.

And like that lunchbreak ended and noon was over.

The last bell of the day rung, indicating the school day was over. I packed my belongings and was about to leave when my friends stopped me.

-" Y/N! we're planning on going to town are you coming along?", one of them asked.

"Ah.. actually I already have plans I'm sorry..", I responded.

-"Come on you barely even hang out with us anymore! Are you avoiding us?", she asked with a frown.

"No ofcourse not! It's just.. Sorry someone else already asked to hang out and I've already agreed so sorry bye!", I said leaving as fast as I could. I was kind of feeling excited to spend more time with Niragi, our friendship would not be solely based on eating together anymore. I made my way to his class room to wait for him. After a few people passing, he finally came out, and went over to me.

-"Thanks for waiting, let's go then shall we?", he said, and I nod in response. On the way to his house we chatted about class and just regular school stuff. After a few minutes of walking we finally arrived. "Wow you're house is so pretty!", I said as I studied the interior of his living room.

-"My mom designed it actually, she's an interior designer", he said.

"wow that's so cool", I responded still in awe.

-"Do you want some snacks?", he asked

"Yeah sure", I replied. He grabbed some from the cabinet. –"Let's go to my room", he suggested and I followed him.

"Don't mind my desk being a mess it's uh.. yeah I don't know what happened", he said. His room looked pretty ordinary to me. "Oh my god is that you? Niragi you look so cute!", I said as the frame of baby photo's on his wall caught my eyes.

-"Yeah I was actually a very cute baby.. I don't know what happened to me in puberty tho", he stated ridiculing.

"Hey what did I say about confidence!", I said in an ironic scolding tone.

-"Whatever..", he responded laughing. "Do you want to watch a movie maybe?", he suggested

"Yeah sure why not", I answered.

After a few minutes of searching and settling down on the floor we finally found a movie we both wanted to watch.

-"Ah wait I'm just going to put in my contacts first", he said quickly getting up.

"Oh you wear contacts? I've never seen you without glasses".

-"Well yeah I just wear them at home because, they were pretty expensive you know? And I like don't want to, you know risk losing them at school.."

He finished putting in his contacts and sat back down next to me to start the movie. And movie was playing, but I couldn't make myself look at the screen.

He looks so different with his glasses off, so.. more natural? I was staring at his face again. I don't know why but my heart seems to flutter every time I look at him. This feeling was new to me, but I didn't want it to stop. He looked so comfortable, he looked so perfect, and I feel like I just want to protect him, from all the bad in this world, and just hold him in my arms, but I just...

Am I falling for him? Is that what it is? Love?

What am I even thinking, what are you thinking Y/N? Seriously what is it that he's doing to me?

-"What's wrong? Don't you want to watch the movie?", he noticed me staring.
