"Ready... Go!" The three of us ran as quick as we can.

We were a few meters behind Kurapika and Leorio, who were talking to each other. Soon we were in front of them.

"See you at the goal, Kurapika!" Gon shouted right in my ear.

"No need to shout it..." I muttered, making sure no one heard me.

"Catch you later, old timer." Killua said to Leorio.

"I'm not old! Can't you tell I'm a teenager just like you guys?!" The old m- teenager, said

Everyone stared at him with wide eyes while I almost lost my balance.

"Huh?"

"No way!"

It's been a while, and a lot of the applicants have already dropped out. Gon, Killua, and I were still running.

"I'm impressed you two can keep up with me." Our silver-haired friend admitted.

"Really?" Gon asked.

"Honestly, I'm impressed that I didn't drop out yet." I accidentally said out loud.

"It's so funny. A few hours ago you were telling Tonpa that you are strong and that you can kill him." Gon stated, quite confused.

"I just always threaten people. I'm scary, but not because of my power. Plus, Tonpa's really weak." I told him. He nodded but didn't seem too convinced.

"Or maybe it's just that everyone else is too slow. Man, the hunter exam is gonna be a breeze. That's no fun." Killua continued.

"Hey, why do you guys want to be hunters?" Gon asked us.

"Me? I'm not really interested in being a hunter. I just heard the exam's supposed to be really hard, so I thought it'd be fun." Killua answered Gon. He talked about how the Hunter exam was a disappointment and that it'll be too easy.

"What about you Aiko?" Gon asked facing me. I looked at him before thinking of what to tell him. I decided to tell him the truth.

"Um... I lost my big brother when I was young. It's actually the same day I met Kurapika, Pairo, and Shio. Has Kurapika told you about his clan?" I asked them. Killua shook his head while Gon nodded. 'Good enough.'

"Pairo was also from his clan. It's quite a long story but the point is I want to find my brother again, and I want to learn about my past. What do I mean by 'my past'? That's something I can't tell you right now. But it doesn't matter, you'll probably know soon enough." I explained.

"Tell us." Killua ordered. 'Why? You don't even care. You're just trying to annoy me, aren't you?' I hesitated.

"It's fine, Aiko. You can just tell us when you trust us." Gon reassured me.

"Anyways, why do you want to become a hunter?" He looked at Gon.

"Well, my dad's a hunter, so I want to become a hunter just like my dad." The boy answered.

"Hmm, what kind of hunter is he?" Killua asked, making me curious as well. Gon shrugged as if he's saying 'I don't know'. Killua laughed. I wasn't really listening to what they said after that. I was thinking of how I'll be able to find my brother. I snapped out of my thoughts when I saw the light at the end of the tunnel. I ran out quickly to get some air. I crossed before Satotz. I then remembered the race. 'Huh... I won?'

A moment later, Killua and Gon jumped out at the same time. They argued at who won first. I giggled. That's when they both noticed me. I noticed their confused and surprised faces through the fog.
