"That's no use. He's already dead."
-----
"Aiko, Kurapika. Look after Leorio." Gon ordered.
"Gon?" Kurapika asked.
"I'm sure we'll find the antidote." He answered. He started walking, ignoring the calls coming from me, Kurapika, and even applicant 246, Ponzu. I ran towards him and grabbed his wrist before he got a chance to touch the dead man's body.
"Gon, there must be another way. Your being reckless." I tried to convince him before an idea popped to mind. He tried to break free from my grip.
"Aiko. I'll do this for Leorio." He said with a determined look. I released him from my grip. He got to the man and looked for the antidote. I was right behind him. A few snakes jumped at him. I cut most of them so that they were too weak to fight. A few snakes managed to land on Gon and one even managed to bite me.
"Gon, you found it?" I asked impatiently.
"I... did!" He replied. I just noticed that he was being choked by a snake. He threw the antidote to Kurapika, ordering him to give it to Leorio. Kurapika did as he was told and then gave some to Gon.
"Are you okay?" Kurapika asked me. I nodded.
"But how will we get out?" Gon asked. An idea came to me out of nowhere.
"Hey, Ponzu?" I asked sweetly. She looked at me. "Do you, by any chance, have any more of that sleeping gas?"
"Yes. Why?" She replied.
"Do you mind if I use it? I'll help you get your target's tag and get us all out of this cave! Why don't we simply put all the spiders to sleep?" I answered.
"That would be more effective if it was from the inside of the cave. Within five minutes, the entire cave will fill with gas, and all the snakes will fall asleep. But it'll take at least five minutes! No one can hold their breath for that long! There's no point if we put ourselves to sleep in the process!" She argued.
"That's alright." I smiled. "Just trust me. I have a plan."
"Nine minutes and forty-four seconds." Gon spoke.
"Wow! My record is 13 minutes and 8 seconds!" I replied.
"Huh?" Kurapika asked.
"We can just hold our breaths and carry you guys out of here." Gon explained.
"Can I trust you?" Ponzu asked.
"Definitely!" I replied cheerfully with a huge smile on my face. She smiled back.
"Fine." She took out some sort of bottle. "It's ready."
"On my signal, release the gas." Gon took lead. She nodded. We both took a deep breath, then he shot her a thumbs-up. She released the gas and in about five minutes, the cave was completely filled with it. I went to Bourbon to take his badge. When I couldn't find it, I assumed Gon has already taken it. I picked up Ponzu while Gon carried Leorio and Kurapika. 'Wow, I can barely carry my little brother. How can he carry those two?' I thought. Me and Gon ran outside the cave, happy to breath some fresh air. I set Ponzu down. I looked over to Gon who was walking towards me and Ponzu. He gave her badge '103' and took her badge.
"Huh?" I asked in confusion.
"She's Leorio's target." Gon answered my confusion.
"Oh, right." I started walking away.
"Where are you going?" Gon asked.
"Just gonna find something to eat." I replied. I walked around and found a few berries.
