"You want... you?" I said confused.

"Yes." he thought for a moment. "wait no. I mean you. Not me. You." he was obviously confused by my question.

"Oh yeah makes sense. I mean it's not like I knew that... it's a new information but like it makes sense ... I mean ... oh shit did I just ruin ... oh my god ..." I sighed and closed my eyes.

"No no no you didn't ruin anything." he sighed.

"I can't read your mind. Tell me what are you thinking." I said and opened my eyes to see his face expression. Immediately I knew he was not here for the reason I was hoping for.

"My mum once told me that some of the best things in life cause the most pain. I didn't understand that back then. But now I do." he said quietly.

"So... if I get this right. You want me... but you don't?"

"I want you... but I can't. I can't hurt you." he almost whispered.

I took a few steps back. "You just did Buck. Two times in the past ten minutes." I walked away.

This time he didn't stop me.

When I arrived to my car, I sat inside and stared blankly in front of me for about five minutes.

Then I realised I was still holding his jacket in my hands.

It broke me. I buried my face into the soft jacket and cried. And cried. And cried a bit more.

When I was finally at least a bit stable again, I threw the jacket at the back seat and started the car.

As I was driving I turned up the volume on the radio. Story of my life was playing.

"Are you fucking kidding me..." I mumbled and turned off the radio immediately.

I stopped at the nearest gas station. I only had 10 dollars left. It wasn't enough to get back to New York. I walked out of the car and looked around.

I saw an old man getting in his car.

"Excuse me sir!" I shouted and ran to him. "I know you don't know me but I really need your help. Could I please borrow your phone? I ... lost mine and I really need to call someone." I talked fast.

After I finished he just stared at me for a few moments.

"I saw you. I saw you on TV." he said, pointing at my face for some reason.

"No no no that was probably my twin she's the -... wait why was I ... I mean she on the TV for?" I asked confused.

"They are looking for you." he said as he took his phone and a piece of paper that had a number on it.

"Who?"

He didn't respond. He typed in the number quickly. I just stared at him completely clueless.

"Hello. This is James Brown."

I snorted loudly when I heard his name which stopped him from talking for a moment.

"Don't mind me." I said and gestured towards the phone to let him continue.

"I found the girl you are looking for." he said and then looked at me. "Are you Emilia Stark?"

I nodded. "Yes I guess, why?"

"Yes it's her." he once again ignored me.

I rolled my eyes and took the phone from his hand. "This is she. Who are you and why do you care?"

The old man tried to get his phone back but stopped when I gave him a threatening look.

"I can't talk about this on the phone. We just need your location to come and pick you up." said the person on the phone.

"I have zero clue where I am but I'm  sure that you can track the phone somehow." I replied.

"Stay where you are."

I gave the phone back to the man. "Thank you very much dear." I smiled and walked back to my car. I sat inside. After half an hour I got cold.

Sadly I didn't pack a proper jacket before I left. I sighed and looked at the backseat.

I rolled my eyes and took the infamous jacket and put in on. Immediately I felt a sudden rush of warmness.

"I still hate you..." I mumbled to the jacket. Then I realised how weird it is to talk to a jacket. Then I looked around to make sure nobody saw that.

Well somebody obviously did.

"HOLY SHIT!?" I yelled as I literally jumped on the other seat, away from the window where I saw a person looking at me.

When I took another look at the person I realised I knew them.

It was Nat.
