Chapter 6

**I started to walk away when I felt many arms wrap around me. I turned around to see my friends. I hugged them. "Call me when they aren't around. I love you guys." I walked to my house and cried into my pillow. I got so many texts from Alli, Sophie, Ruby, Josh and Jake.... And a couple from Cody. I didn't open any of them. Tonight I just want to relax and think about nothing..... **

I laid there staring at the ceiling debating if I wanted to open the texts from Cody until I couldn't wait any more I needed to read them and see what he said.

Cody Simpson(5:56pm): autumn please come back! I'm sorry! I'm really sorry! I need you to forgive me! We can make it work!

From, Cody Simpson(5:59pm): look I know you're mad, but I didn't mean anything I said! Just let me see you so I can explain a couple things. Please?

From, Cody Simpson(6:03pm): please answer!! :(

From, Cody Simpson(6:04pm): text me when you can.... :/

I saw the texts, cried a bit more and started to write a text to him.

To, Cody Simpson: I'm still mad... but I'm willing to talk. Meet me at the ice cream shack at the beach at 7

I sent it and waited for a reply. Waiting and waiting until my vibrate went off.

From, Cody Simpson(6:34pm): okay :) I'll meet you there.

I started to get dressed and do my hair. Nothing fancy just something nice enough to where to the beach. I started to walk to the ice cream shack when it started to drizzle with rain. I groaned and ran for the shack. As I arrived I saw Cody standing there. He was soaked. He ran up to me and gave me a great big hug.

"Autumn please let me explain! I was agreeing with Hailee, I was agreeing with all the mean things because i was angry and I love her... I know you don't like her, but will you please try to be nice to her? For me? I promise we can be friends! I will stand up for you and we can have good times again! I really don't want to lose you. And don't worry you are perfect. You're gorgeous! So sweet. Chill, talented and amazing! I know that she was just saying all of this out of jealousy. please forgive me?" Cody said tears running down his cheek and the rain soaking his hair.

"Cody... I... I love you!!" I gave him a hug and smiled. He smile back at me.

"I never want to lose you again Autumn! And I won't let Hailee get to me anymore, I promise" he spoke

I started crying really hard and Cody's smile formed into a frown. He looked down at me. he moved my wet hair out Of my face, lifted my chin with his finger tips and leaned his forehead on mine.

"What's wrong beautiful?" Cody whispered.

"I never want to lose you again! I can't believe I would do that. You're the closest thing I have to a brother and I pushed you away." I cried to him.

"But I was never leaving" he said and slowly kissed me on the forehead. I smiled as the rain washed away my tears. Cody looked deeply into my eyes. "And I never plan on leaving"

I looked at him and held the back of his neck playing with his hair. Running my fingers though it, twirling it around my finger and brushing it with my finger tips. At the same time we both backed away. "Uhh sorry autumn" cody said while he cleared his throat.

"No. Umm I am" i said back. We both laughed as the rain fell harder.

"Let me walk you home." Cody said waking closer to me.

"Nah I was going to go to your house after this anyways. Alli wanted to know everything that happened and ruby and Sophie are coming over too." I said walking next to him.

"Oh alright. You promise you aren't mad?" He said softly.

"Yeah I promise." I said smiling. A car came and drove right next to us and splashed us making both Cody and I soaked head to toe. We laughed and I let out a shriek.

He picked me up and yelled, "if you didn't like that your going to hate this!" He took off my purse and put it under his jacket to keep it dry and ran into the ocean and threw me in there.

I screamed and ran towards him. I dragged him into the water. We laughed and splashed each other. It was just like the old times. I couldn't stop smiling. He swam over to me and started to tickle me. I laughed and playfully hit him. I laughed so hard i fell under the water. I got up and he hugged me tight. "Sorry autumn!" I smiled.

"Nah that's okay!" I said as I jumped on his back causing him to trip a bit, but not enough to fall.

"I got stronger over the year! Jumping on my back wont make me fall!" We laughed as he carried me on his back. I cupped my hands and gathered water and splashed it on Cody's face. That made him drop me.

"CODY!!" I screamed.

"Your fault princess!" He laughed. Then I saw 4 girls running towards us we both looked over. It was Alli, Soph, Ruby and Hailee. We just stood in the water.

"Guys stop fighting and get out of there!" We heard Alli yell. We got out.

"We weren't fighting Alli" Cody told her.

"Well then what were you doing?" She asked.

" we were playing in the ocean" Cody explained.

They all laughed except for Hailee. "You guys are hilarious! I'm glad you made up" Sophie said.

"In the rain? Typical Cody and Autumn!" Ruby said. Everyone laughed, again, except for Hailee

"Cody I thought you hated her" Hailee said.

"Nah! I missed her! I'm happy we made up!" He said looking down at me smiling. He put and arm around me. Hailee walked over and pushed me to the ground and took my place under Cody's arm.

"Ouch! What the hell is wrong with you Hailee?"

She smiled. Cody ran over to me kneeled down and helped me up. He promised he'd stand up for me so he did. "Hailee that is no way to treat someone. Especially Autumn." Hailee started crying...

"But Cody I know you guys kissed in this rain and I know you'll leave me for her!" She cried to him.

"We didn't kiss and I'm not leaving you for her. I promise." He said a bit harshly.

We walked back to their house. I got into the shower and changed into some of Alli's clothes. I smiled. He's back. He's mine. My best friend again. I love him... I need him <3
