**"I don't know if I can see her and if I do see her it can definitely not be with Sandra." I said. Our conversation continued. I realized I will probably run into someone from Cody's family at least once while I'm here. I just have to be very careful.**

Later that day Sandra and I waited for my friends to come over. We were all going to take Sandra out for ice cream and to the beach to make some sand castles. As much as I miss doing everything with my friends, playing with Sandra brings out the childish side of all of us. We laugh at each other all the time.

It was 4 and I just got a text from Ruby saying they had just left Cody's house and they were on their way over. I got up from my bed and walked to the other side of my room where Sandra's crib was. I picked her up and she woke from her nap. She began to cry. I cradled her and hummed a soothing melody. I walked down the stairs and grabbed a bottle of milk to feed her. She stopped crying the second the bottle hit her lips. The door bell rang. I opened the door and all my friends came running into my house.

"When are we gonna leave?" Jake asked opening my fridge looking for some food.

"Once Sandra finishes her milk, then we can go to the ice cream shack down by the beach." I said looking down at my baby.

Sandra finally finished her bottle and I put on her sandals. I went to go get her stroller, but Soph spoke, "you don't have to bring that. I want to carry her." She grabbed Sandra from my arms and began to make silly noises which made us all laugh.

We were walking to the ice cream shack and all I could think of were memories of Cody and I. I remember this was the place Cody and I made up when him and Hailee were dating. I snapped back into reality and we all ordered ice cream and ate it on the sand. Sandra sat on Ruby's lap while Josh fed her ice cream. We all joked around and laughed at Sandra because she always managed to get her ice cream all over her little cheeks.

We finished our ice cream and began to make a sand castle with Sandra. We were all having a lot of fun until I heard a familiar voice speak from the ocean. I looked up and saw Cody and Alli walking out of the water with their surf boards. The second I saw them I grabbed Sandra and stood up facing my back to the ocean. "What's wrong?" Josh asked. They all stood up with me.

"Cody" I whispered. The all turned around and saw him. We all began to speed walk back to my house until Cody recognized them.

"Hey mates! Why are you hanging out without Al's and I?" He asked walking closer. They all stopped and turned around I continued to walk as fast I could without making anything look suspicious. "Autumn?" I heard Cody's voice say. I didn't stop walking. I needed to get home before he saw I was holding Sandra. "Wait!" He yelled. I heard him run up to me. I began to run away and tried to comfort Sandra because it looked like she was about to cry. "Autumn please stop!" Cody yelled behind me. All of my friends started running behind Cody and tried to hold him back.

"Just leave her alone!" Sophie yelled as she tried to catch up with him, but I could tell he didn't stop. My heart was beating much more than it should. I almost tripped which made me slow down and made Sandra cry. I stopped running and began "shh"ing her and saying everything would be okay. I rocked her back and forth and kissed her on the forehead. The second I did she stopped crying. I smiled at her.

"It's okay beautiful. Mommy's got you." I whispered in her ear so no one else could hear. I heard that everyone had stopped running. Maybe standing still. I turned around. Cody's face expression was blank. All of my friends faces were in worry and Alli's face was shocked. Cody slowly began walking towards me. I turned around and began to walk home again.

"No, please! Autumn.." Cody said. I stopped. I felt his hands touch my shoulders. Shivers were shot down my spine. I turned around to face him, but didn't look at him. I kept my eyes on Sandra. I couldn't let him know that this was his baby. So many things were running through my head. A single tear fell from my eye onto Sandra's hand, but that's all that fell. Everyone began to walk towards us. I could feel Cody staring at me. I looked up at Alli. Tears were forming in her eyes. This is definitely not how I thought I was going to run into Cody and Alli.
