Chapter 14

**"Oh shit..." I said.

"Who is it?" Cody asked. I looked at my friends and all their expressions were the same as mine... What the hell am I going to do...?**

A surprised, scared, and worried face was pasted on my face. I didn't know what to say or do. Who was this guy? Well it's a long story... About a year ago...

*flashback*

"So explain." I said with a smirk on my face.

"Explain what?" Chase said. I giggled and slapped him on the chest playfully.

"Explain why you would do this for me" he had just surprised me on a beach date. Surf boards laying out, a blanket and a picnic basket.

"What? A guy can't take his beautiful girlfriend out on a beach date?" I giggled.

"Well they can, but I thought you didn't like the beach that much. And you hate surfing! And picnics!" I said still confused.

"But you love all those things. Which is why we are going to go for a walk across the shore when the sun has fully set." He said with a nervous smile on his face.

"Chase, I know you well enough to know that you're doing this for a reason." I said. My face turned serious. He took a deep breath in, grabbed my hand and we sat on the blanket that was laid out.

"Look sweetheart, I'm moving." He said tears forming in his eyes.

"To the other side of town?" I said with hope in my voice. He shook his head.

"No... To Europe..." He said a tear sliding out of his eye.

"You're joking right?" I said. I was in too much shock to even cry.

"I'm so sorry love."

"When are you leaving?" I said tears finally forming in my eyes.

"In two days.." He said looking away

"What?! Why wouldn't you tell me earlier?" I said tears streaming down my face. I really liked this boy. Like a lot.

"Because! I just wanted us to enjoy the time together instead of crying all the time." He said holding my hands tightly. I took a deep breath in and let everything out. Chase sat closer to me and hugged me tight. "I love you baby girl."

"I love you" I managed to say through my big tears.

He finally left. I felt lost. I didn't know what to do. I sat in my room crying. I didn't like being single, I didn't like being away from him, I didn't like not having his arms around my body, his lips far from mine, and everything about this day was horrible. I quickly grabbed my phone and called Alli. She was with Cody in America. I missed chase and we are never going to be together again...

I snapped back into reality. There Chase was. Here I was, with Cody.. This is awful. "Uhh hi Chase.."

"Hey baby" he said walking up to me.

"Baby?" Cody said looking at me with a confused and angry face.

"No I'm not his baby. We broke up last year." I said explaining to Cody.

"But you still love me right? I missed you! I'm visiting for a couple weeks and I knew I'd find you at the beach! I really wanted to spend my trip with you. I couldn't get you off my mind baby girl." He said bending down and grabbing my hand pulling me off the ground and gave me a hug.

Anger and jealousy was rushing through Cody. I could tell. "Hey. Get your hands off her!" Cody said getting up off the sand. All my friends stood up and ran to Cody and held him back.

"Woh dude. She's mine. Leave us alone." Chase looked at me in the eyes and kissed me. Right in front of Cody... I pushed him off me. Cody pushed through everyone's grip and stood next to me. "What's wrong sweetie?" He said getting off the ground.

"Look chase. When you left I was sad, but I moved on... I have a new boyfriend." I said guilt running through my body.

"But... What about us?" Chase said with a sad face.

"I'm sorry" I said grabbing Cody's hands.

"Wait? You left me for this pretty boy?" He said angrily. "Wait! Hold on! That's gay Cody Simpson??" He began to laugh hysterically.

"Hey! Cody is no pretty boy. Maybe he's better looking than you, but that doesn't make him a pretty boy and he isn't gay! This is my boyfriend and was my first friend in Australia so don't say anything more if you have nothing nice to say." I said defending him.

"I'm a better boyfriend than him" he said in a cocky tone.

"Excuse me?" Cody said.

"Oh no the little pop star is getting angry is he now?" Chase said laughing. Cody got extremely angry and punched him in the stomach. I covered my mouth with my hands.

"Cody! What did you do?" Chase laid on the ground and Cody's hand still in a fist. I ran to Chase. "Are you okay?" Chase just said there groaning and holding his stomach.

"Princess, come back with me. You deserve someone better than that. Be my girlfriend." He said looking at me deeply in the eyes.

"Look Chase, I actually love Cody a lot... I don't ever want to leave him. He's been the best I've ever had. You don't know him. He's protective and... I'm really sorry, but I think it's time you move on."

"But..." He said sadly.

"I'm sorry" I whispered. Cody helped him up. I have him a small smile. Cody snaked his arm around my waist and pulled me close. I looked up at him and smiled.

"It's fine.. I get it. You're over me and now it's my time to get over you.." He said as his took a deep breath. "Can I just say one last thing to you before I leave?" I nodded my head. He walked closer to me and grabbed my hips. Cody's eyes began to narrow down at us. "I just want to say, I'll always love you. I mean you're perfect, it's impossible for me to get over you. I just want you to be happy, even if your happiness is caused by someone else." He let go of my hips. I kissed him on the cheek and smiled. He smiled back and started to blush. "Take care of her please" he said to Cody

"I will, don't worry about her." Cody said pulling me close. Chase walked away slowly dragging his feet. I felt bad and because Cody knew me so well I know he knew I felt like this. "Sweetie, don't feel bad. Okay? I'm here I always will be" I smiled a bit than looked down at my feet, letting my sight drift to Chase who was walking alone on the beach.
