Dont Forget Me- Cody Simpson

Chapter 7

**We walked back to their house. I got into the shower and changed into some of Alli's clothes. I smiled. He's back. He's mine. My best friend again. I love him... I need him <3**

I woke up the next morning. My lips permanently shaped into a smile. I was so happy to have my best friend back. I got out of Alli's bed, got dressed, put on some eyeliner and mascara, did my hair and walked downstairs. Hailee and Cody were up, watching tv and Hailee sat on Cody's lap. "Good morning lovebirds" I said as a joke. I heard Cody laugh.

"You jealous we have love and you don't?" Hailee blurted.

"Ummm no... I never said anything about being jealous. And I'm actually quite happy being single." I told her back, trying to be nice.

She rolled her eyes and cuddled closer with Cody. Cody leaned back away from her. I smiled and went to make food. I walked over to the couch they were sitting on and started to eat my strawberries. They were watching tv and so was I.

"You know it's kind of rude not to offer other people some food when you're getting your own." Hailee pointed out.

"Oh I'm sorry. Would you like me to get you some strawberries?" I asked with attitude.

"Yeah." Hailee answered.

"Okay." I said and watched tv.

"Hey! Go get me strawberries!" She yelled at me.

"I offered. You said I just needed to offer." I said smirking.

"No! You have to get me some now! That's the point!!" She yelled.

"God blessed you with hands and feet, you can walk to the fridge and wash yourself some strawberries." I said keeping my eyes on the TV. I heard Hailee groan. She just sat there pissed.

"You know Cody you're suppose to stand up for me. What kind of boyfriend are you.?" She said angrily.

"Sorry princess. " Cody whispered, he pulled her off his lap and walked into the kitchen to wash her strawberries. I walked into the kitchen and washed my bowl.

"What's wrong Cody?" I softly asked putting my hand onto his back.

"She's just a bit bossy sometimes. I'm fine though." He said with sadness in his voice.

"Part of a relationship is that you can be comfortable talking to each other about anything. Just tell her to be less bossy. Just because you guys are dating doesn't automatically mean you do everything for her." I said rubbing his back as he cut the leaves of the strawberries of.

"But here's my problem... I'm scared to tell her... She'll start yelling and then threaten to break up with me or something..." He looked so sad. I pulled him into a hug and whispered in to his ear.

"Are you even happy when your with Hailee?"

"Well sometimes. Not when we are with other people though, especially other girls. She gets jealous easily." He whispered back.

"I just want you to be happy Cody..." I whispered hugging him tighter.

"I know.... I love you"

"I love you too" there was a long moment of silence where we just hugged. We moved apart a bit with our arms still around each other. I gave him a small smile, he returned me with a bigger one.

He leaned in and kissed my forehead keeping his lips pressed up against me as he spoke. "I'm not kidding Autumn. I love you" I smiled a bit as he kissed my forehead this time removing his lips. He smiled.

"I wasn't kidding either. I love you Cody. I love you a lot" I said still holding him. I felt eyes on us. I looked over and Hailee was standing there. Tears in her eyes. She actually looked hurt. For a second I felt really bad.

"No Hailee, it's not what it looks like sweetie!" Cody spoke.

Tears streaming down her face. I felt horrible we let go of each other Cody ran to her. She took a few steps back and fell to the ground crying. Tears started forming in my eyes. I felt horrible...

"Cody..." I heard her whisper. "How could you?"

Cody knelt down to her "Look princess please let me explain! I don't actually love Autumn. Well I do, but as a friend. I love you forever and always, I love you like no other, you're mine and Autumn is just a friend. We've always had a relationship like this. I've been friends with her forever!! Please! Forgive me! I'm sorry ! I didn't mean it that way! I promise! Hailee baby, please look at me." He said stumbling and a single tear running down his cheek.

"I... I understand its fine... I'll be fine, but Cody... You need to choose." Hailee said with anger in her eyes. She gave me a deep glare.

"Choose what, love?" Cody asked I could hear fear in his voice.

"Choose. It's either me or Autumn. I don't need you hanging out with a girl who you could eventually fall for." She said. A plan. I knew this was a plan. No way Cody could win. Either they live happily ever after or Cody loses his love.

Cody looked scared he looked at me. Tears forming. Then he looked at Hailee. "Can I think about it?"

"No. Chose now. I hope this isn't a hard decision." She said. Smirking a bit. They stood up. Cody looked at me.

"Cody you are not actually thinking about this are you?" I said tears streaming down my face.

"I... I don't know..." He said

"Look Hailee if you really loved Cody you'd let him be my friend and date you. If you really loved him you wouldn't make him chose. If you really loved him, you'd only want him to be happy... Nothing else...." I said bawling my eyes out.

"Shut up Autumn!!" She yelled

I looked at Cody he was crying hard he kept on looking at me then Hailee.

"Look Cody, I'll make this easier for you. Be happy with Hailee, you obviously love her a lot. I'll leave." I said softly taking deep harsh breaths from crying so hard. Hailee had an evil smirk on her face. I started walking away. Cody grabbed my wrist.

"Don't leave without a goodbye" he said his eyes red and his cheeks wet with tears. He pulled me into a hug and whispered into my ear. "I'm not leaving you. I'm changing your name on my phone, we will text, when Hailee is out or sleeping I'll sneak out. I wanted to chose you, but Hailee would be so angry." I smiled and kissed his cheek.

"Its Okay" I said. He hugged me tighter kissing me on the top of the head.

"I'm doing this because I never want to forget you again, i dont want to lose you, that was the worst mistake I've ever made." He whispered.

"Pushing you away was my worst mistake... but making up with you is something I will never regret." I said

Cody cried and smiled. "I hope I can see you before I leave in a couple weeks." He said. "And if I don't see you... I love you"

"I love you... If we don't see each other... I just want you to promise me these two things. Promise me you won't break them this time."

"I won't"

"I want you to follow your heart no matter what life brings you, who life brings you and what your future holds please follow your heart. I know it sounds cheesy, but just do it.... And never forget me. Even if we never see each other ever again. Never forget. Even the little things..." I said. We let go. And I started to walk out of the front door.

"I promise" I heard Cody whisper to himself....
