Chapter 9

**"No problem Autumn" she hugged me tighter. "A couple more days until New Years! Too bad we couldn't stay for Christmas this year... but we will have to throw a huge party for 2013! Lets start planning!" I smiled

"Yes!! We will throw the best party ever!!"**

We sat at the kitchen table and started to write a guest list, food and drinks, decorations, music, and outfits. We had a few laughs, as always. We decided that we would need help planning out the party so we called Sophie and Ruby. When they came over, we split jobs and got ready for the party. We only had 2 days until it was New Year's Eve.

That whole night us four girls made cards for the guests, went and bought stuff we would need, went to all the guests doors and put the cards in the mailboxes, which by the way was painful. By the time we were done everything it was 3 in the morning we all slept over at Alli's because we were way too tired to go back home.

The next morning us girls went to the mall to pick out some new, sparkly dresses and shoes to match them for the party.

Ruby found a dress that was all black and sparkly, it had a sweetheart neckline, it was tight, had a gold zipper that went from the middle of the sweetheart neckline to below her rib cage and she got gold heels to match the zipper.

Sophie found a dress that was silver and sparkly on the top, strapless, and at her bellybutton there was a thick pink ribbon that tied into a bow in the back, it had black skirt under the ribbon, it went to her mid thigh. She found heels that were the same colour pink as the bow.

Alli found a black dress. It was short sleeved and ended at the middle of her thigh, the top was tight and the skirt was flowy. There was a silver, sparkly ribbon with a bow on the left side of her belly. She got silver heels that matched her bow.

For me I found a tight, cropped to above my belly button, sweetheart neckline, strapless shirt that was gold and sparkly, the skirt was black and flowy. It ended at my mid thigh and I found gold heels to match my crop top and a black long necklace with a black cross on it.

We were all ready for the party now.

It was the night of the party, we cranked the music, set out food and drinks and people slowly started to file in. Us four girls were in Alli's room finishing our make up and jewelry. "You guys ready?" Ruby said putting on her shoes.

"Nope" I said with everything on. "I don't have a midnight kiss... Sophie and Ruby have boyfriends and Alli has Josh." I said.

"Hey! I'm not kissing Josh!" Alli said putting on a bracelet.

"You want to..." Sophie said. We all giggled. Alli playfully hit Sophie on the arm.

Everyone finished getting ready and we all went downstairs seeing so many people here already. We went and looked for Cody, Hailee, Josh and Jake. We finally found them and Josh's eyes were glued on Alli. I smiled. Ruby and Sophie found their boyfriends.. I was alone. So I decided to hang out with Jake since we were the only single ones in our group of friends.

I saw friends from school that I missed. Jake and I hung out, had a good time and danced. People were drunk and crazy. I never went to a crazy house party before so I was a bit frightened with all the crazy people. Jake and I just goofed off together.

The two of us went outside in the backyard because it was too hot inside. I sat down on the grass and looked up in the sky, staring at the stars. I looked over and Jake sat down next to me, very close. I smiled at him and looked at the stars again, amazed by their beauty. I looked at Jake who was starring at me. I giggled. He chuckled quietly. "Hey Autumn?" Jake said rubbing the back of his neck.
