( Am I writing at 3 am in the morning because not having a chapter posted is LITERALLY keeping me awake at night? Mayyyyyybbbee. Also look out for mistakes because I may or may not be writing at 3am.)
"Seriously!?" was the first thing Avil said- no, screeched- when he saw Dakota again. Dakota winced at the high-pitched noise on his sensitive ears and backed away as Avil charged toward him. "I-" he hit Dakota in the shoulder- "Didn't-" another hit, but harder- "Ask for you to avenge me!""I'm sorry?" Dakota asked, confused. In Dakota's mind, Devin deserved it.
"Sorry?!" Avil hit him again, "I told you my reasoning behind why I couldn't do it, and you did it anyway!"
"You put up with being beat just because you-" Dakota lowered his voice so that their conversation couldn't easily be heard- "Just because you are in love with your bully's best friend?! Sounds like an abusive relationship."
"I don't care what you think! I'm angrier that you put yourself in danger!" Avil snapped, getting in Dakota's face- pointing at his nose with his deadly manicured nails- "Devin is a king at fighting, and now everyone at school thinks you're dead. I messaged Ethan and Soap to let them know that you're okay. Soap is okay too, if you didn't know."
Ah yeah, Soap also joined the fight- near the end at least. It was the only reason Dakota wasn't beaten to a mush of blood and guts. Dakota didn't even think to check up on them, with all the chaos and anger and then the Lucas thing.
Which reminded him-
"I'm really sorry and thanks...but...I have good news?" Dakota replied. Avil crossed his arms in anticipation of "the good news," and gave him a look to continue.
"Lucas and I are...dating..." he said carefully. Avil just stared at him with wide eyes.
"So...are you bi or...?" he prompted.
"I don't think I ever really liked girls that much," Dakota confessed- and, boy, did it make him feel good to hear the words said out loud. Avil gave him a big grin and squealed.
"I have a gay brother!" he squeaked as quietly as he could in excitement, "Oh my gosh! Oh MY GOSH! When are you going to tell Nick?!"
"Probably tonight," Dakota replied, "Around dinner."
"AHHH!" Avil smiled to himself, "We can do so many things together now! We can talk about boys together- ooh! Maybe if I ever get with Tanner, we could go on a double date!" Avil suddenly gasped. "What about school?! When will you come out?" He gasped again, which was very dramatic for Dakota to witness. "What about Devin?! What will he do when he learns that you're gay?"
"I don't know, and I don't care-" Suddenly, the door clicked open and Lucas popped his head in through it.
"Are you guys done having your little sibling fight?" Lucas asked before smiling evilly, "Because Nick says that dinner is ready." Lucas winked at Dakota, obviously teasing him.
Dakota said that he would come out to Nick after dinner. Lucas made a deal with Dakota that if he chickened out, Dakota had to send Lucas nudes.
Dakota only agreed because he knew he wouldn't chicken out. Not with Nick.
Nick Moore was the most understanding person he had ever met. There was no way his coming out could result badly. Dakota was sure of it.

Dakota had eaten dinner, but he refrained from telling Nick still yet. He waited until all the other kids left the room; he wanted to tell the others in his own time.
