After getting done with his tonight's emergency duty, he left for home at almost midnight. His house was within walking distance from his clinic. It was a little villa-type apartment.
A double-story stylish lodging that has one master bedroom, two other rooms, one guest room, and a modern kitchen. Given the nice atmosphere of Ghizar Village, it was a moderately open-air house that would let the mornings be pleasant and nights be cool with the amazing cool breezes. Along with that, a small swimming pool in the left part of the house was also there to enjoy the delightful nights. In front, an open garage was located, on both sides, greenery, and grass always looked very soothing.
Here along with Faris, a senior household helper used to live. Khan Baba was an old, pious, and gentle man who was a servant of Faris's mother and he came with her as like in her dowry when she got married. That was the reason, Faris agreed to bring him here at his Dad's request because he was someone who was like a father to his mother. Faris gave him immense respect.
After getting freshened up, when he came back into the room, he found Khan Baba there, smiling at him with his wrinkled eyes. He had a long white beard reaching his throat.
"Your cardamom tea, Faris son," he mumbled, placing the cup on the table.
For many years, Faris had a habit of drinking cardamom tea at night and Khan Baba knew this fact well. He nodded, rubbing his hair with a towel
After that, he wore a white shirt."How are you, Khan Baba?" He asked, even though he left in the morning after having breakfast which the old man made. But he loved to take care of him because he reminded him of his mother.
"I am good Faris beta. How was your day?"
"Fine... Khan Baba, pack your necessary things. Tomorrow morning we have to leave for the city to attend Faraan's marriage," he told him, a matter of factly.
"Me?" The old man was perplexed.
Faris smiled and regarded him with his grey eyes. "Yes, you will accompany me."
Khan Baba's face lit up. "Okay, beta. I will also pack your bag."

In the morning, he was sitting in his cabin, waiting for the next patient's turn when the person entered there as the next client made his eyes wide at first in shock, and then something in them darkened in utmost disdain.
Marina who used to be so modest and dapper in modern and expensive dresses in University was now seen in simple attire and a shawl that was almost covering her face. Just when she came inside, she lowered down the border to reveal her identity.
"Faris, thank God I found you," she murmured, a glow suddenly occupied her face.
"What the hell are you doing here?" He said with a clenched jaw. Even though her presence evoke an outrage in him but he controlled himself from lashing out since it was his workplace.
"Faris please, I need you. Don't act like this to me." She rushed in his direction. Now as she was near, he could see her eyes were wet with tears.
"Leave now. I don't have anything to hear," he mumbled, sternly. His eyes sent daggers her way.
Marina held his hand. "Faris please, at least once hear me out. I am very distressed. Please give me a job in your hospital. He won't let me work anywhere. My ex-husband will scheme again to get me expelled and you are the only one who I can trust. I am sorry for what I did to you. I got my punishment. But then I realized I could never remain happy with anyone else because I am in love with you. Please Faris, I beg--"
