In the night, they all were sitting at the dining table having dinner. Burak had just come home and from him, it was revealed to everyone that Faraan had surrendered himself to the police by accepting his crimes today. To not make anyone worried, Faraan had asked his secretary to tell this to his father after he would be gone. Burak got to know this from the young man just a while ago.
To be honest, Burak kind of knew that Faraan would be behind all this and the fact that it came true, didn't come off as a surprise to him. The thing that he himself abdicated to his offenses was a bit shocking, to say the least. When he first heard this from Faraan's secretory, he got furious over this.
How much he had given his son importance, love, and necessities. Burak, even himself remained hungry during bad days but managed to feed his twin children. It was true he had quite a soft spot for Faraan more than Faris. Faraan was more beloved for him because even though they were twins, he was considered as the younger brother because of his non-serious, jolly, and playful personality.
When Faris was introverted and a bit distant from him due to his mother's issue, Faraan was closer to him. Faris was more mature, understanding, and serious so he took care of himself better than anyone else. On the other hand, Faraan had a childish personality and he was dependent on him.
Burak suddenly felt so much anger at Faraan for doing this behind his back. He took advantage of his father's love and support for him which he got more than his twin brother. First, he messed up his prestige when had left on his wedding day, and now this. On top of his crimes, he had gone to the extent of involving his own brother into his own doings.
The kind and loving father in him had now slept under the rugs of this newly found turmoil so Burak right now was fuming in anger.
"I can't believe Faraan can do this. In what way our upbringing get slack? I am a terrible mother. I couldn't become a nice mother to him so that I could become his friend and he would have shared his problems with me other than indulging in such things," Raima said in a teary voice.
Faris who was quiet from all this while even though knowing every truth, just lifted his head and raised a brow at the woman. Was she indirectly mocking his own real mother? He grabbed the glass with a jerk and with a tug, he got hold of the jug of water. Ajwa noticed it well and then looked at her husband. His jaw was clenched and his eyes were hard. She knew why he suddenly became unhinged like this.
"Don't blame yourself Raima. You were a very good mother. It was his nature and nature can't change," Burak told her.
"Should I pour?" Ajwa mumbled, taking the jug from Faris's hand.
He stared at her and seeing the smile on her lips, his eyes softened and he nodded. Ajwa filled him with a glass of water. It was always she who brought composure to him in such situations. She had once asked him not to act bitter with his stepmother and despite how much Faris wanted to give a really nice answer to that woman, he ignored it because Ajwa was there.
Faris was well aware Raima deserved every bit of the behavior he gave her because she was two-faced. She had snatched away his father from his mother and then caused her death. He could never fall prey to this cunning woman ever.

Ajwa came out of the washroom and saw Faris lying flat on the bed, looking at a far point on the front wall. He had his right arm placed under his head as he seemed to be deep in his thoughts. Ajwa took silent steps towards him but he didn't change his position. Faris perhaps hadn't even noticed her. He seemed tensed and disturbed. And Ajwa speculated it was since they had come back in the room post-dinner.
