Ajwa was so happy to see him back. Her whole face lit up while a charming smile occupied her lips.
"You again came without informing me?" She lightly chuckled and her laugh seemed like a puff of relief for Faris.
One side of his lip curled up in a lopsided grin as he approached her. "I have got this habit to see this stunned smile on your beautiful lips whenever you see me."
His stare flung towards her lips as he mentioned them. They were colored by a shining pink lip gloss making them look more alluring than they were before. Then his eyes took in the sight of her extra preparation in that stunning pink dress. A need arose in his whole body at which he himself was shocked. No one could ever be managed to bring this out in him ever.
However, he gave it to the fact that it was the outcome of the nikkah. This bond did have a magic to make you feel connected and possessive of your spouse. But whatever it was, in her sight, Faris this time wanted to hide her from the rest of the world and announce that only he had a right to be near Ajwa.
Just him.
He held her hands. "You are looking stunning."
She giggled shyly and this made him smile. Faris brought the envelope having flower bangles forward and took out the fragrant roses tied as a beautiful bracelet. Ajwa's eyes widened in appreciation.
"I brought this for you," he murmured and promptly pushed the bracelets into her soft and smooth wrists. He couldn't choose whether the roses made her hands look more attractive or her elegant skin made the flowers stunning.
"They are very beautiful. Thanks, Faris," she said, truthfully.
He gently caressed her hand. "Not more than you, sunshine."
She always loved it whenever he called her by this name. She still recalled how first she didn't like him calling him by this but now she realized she liked it more than him saying her actual name. There was a hue of special and personal care and secrecy attached to him which made Ajwa admire it more. Like it was something that was just between her and Faris.
"Let's have lunch at the same restaurant where we went last time," he informed her.
Ajwa raised a brow. "But the meal is ready."
He lifted her hand towards his lips and pecked her fingers. "We will have that meal for dinner. But right now, I want to go out with you."
His action caused Ajwa's heart to skip a beat. He often used to do that whenever they were alone. And the tenderness and warmth present in just this mere thing made her almost believe that he actually loved her. Faris sometimes got too real with this imitation.
She nodded and then her mind went back to the open strap of the back of her dress. She sighed in exasperation.
"Then tie this. It's acting like such a nuisance for me." She gestured towards her back.
Faris's eyes followed her hand and the fair skin peaking through this slit again made his throat dry. Ajwa had now turned around and her back was facing him now. Faris gently dragged her hair towards one of her shoulders and picked the hooks with his other hand.
She inhaled a sharp breath when his fingers made contact with her nape. More than touch, the way he was looking at her made her bite her lower lip. He bent down and kissed the back of her neck and shoulder blades. Ajwa gasped at this. She quickly closed her eyes.
But Faris had now held her shoulders and made her turn around again. "Let's go. My stomach is calling me. I don't want to lose myself right now," he chuckled.
