"What is that?" Hawks came closer to me and looked at the feather.

"A feather" I bluntly stated, knowing that it would get on his nerves. He made an annoyed and tired face.

"Before you say anything, I am not interested in feathers, so keep yours away from me." I quickly said before he had the chance to say something inappropriate as he had his mouth open and as I finished my sentence, he closed it and stared at me.

"How the hell... You know what, I don't think I want to know." He said as he came closer to me. I felt his breath against my skin-tight costume....and it was....distracting.

"I've seen this before," I motioned around to the bodies, "About two weeks ago, I came across, two bodies in the alleyway, same as this one, at around the same time as now. The man committed suicide, at least that's what the police told me, but I am not sold on the idea." I continued the story, as I was looking around, piecing the story together, "The two men that were found both had the same feather like this one, on them." And I took the feather out and in front of my eyes. Hawks looked at it, carefully, then took it out of my hand, sending shivers down my spine.

'I hate this.' I thought to myself 'Where the hell is the police?' As I was thinking that, something rather heavy and very warm landed on my shoulders, sending shivers down my whole body in waves.

Hawks was standing near me, in his skin-tight shirt and looking at me with a feather still being in his hands. He didn't say a word and just looked at my expressions. His jacket was resting on my shoulders now.

"I appreciate the gesture, Hawks, but this has nothing to do with the cold," I say, taking off his jacket and giving it back to him. He seemed sceptical, so I added. "It's this whole situation...."

"Reaaallllly?" He didn't stop looking at me as he took his jacket back, piercing through me.

'Good try buddy' he looks back at the feather and I could basically see how his weals and cogs started to spin.

"What do you see?"

"Hmm, I don't know if this will help us in any way, but this feather reminds me of my own, back when I was a kid." I rose my eyebrows.

"Are you suggesting that these belonged to a child?"

"I can't be sure, not until lab results are back, but I would say that most likely these belong to a younger person. Even the structure of them are not properly formed and they are not as rough as an adult would be. Here" and once of his feathers floated next to the black one that he was holding up. "See, mine are much more structured, they are firmer, but this one is still soft."

The police finally arrived. It took them long enough and I could finally release the quirk. They made me relax and at ease, the sensitivity was quickly gone and our patrol ended.

"Well, Hawks." I turned to him while stretching in the middle of the street as the first rays of sunlight were kissing the tops of the building. He looked at me with tired golden eyes but a warm smile "This was fun, but it's time for me to go. See ya around." I continued as I released my binding cloth to the nearest railing and swang to it.

"Yeah, it was." He said, looking up at me, as I was sitting on the railing of the fire escape like a Spider-Man. "Do you need a lift?" He added as I was about to swing to the roof. I turned around and gave him a smile, which he couldn't see because of my mask, but I am sure he noticed it in my eyes.

"I am fine," I said and gave a glance to the nearby street, where groups of people were forming "Your fans are here, so I am getting out of here." And before I left I gave him one last smile as he put his coat back on "Handle them for me, would you?" And I was gone.

Hawks POV

And just like that, she was gone.

I put my jacket back on and smelt something cool, it was kind of familiar but I couldn't place my finger on it.

I turned around, tired and wanting to go to sleep. But no, the press. God, now I know why Noch... no, Five, hates it. They swamped me all around before I could even try to take off and started asking so many questions. Time to play the part of the always cheerful and flirty guy.

God, I am so tired.

"Are you the one that caught the villains?"

"What is your next move?"

"Why was the number 5 hero, Noch with you?"

"Are you two dating?"

"Are you going to be patrolling at night?"

"Was Noch interfering with your investigation?"

"Did she want to hijack and overtake your spot as number 3?"

"Did Noch ask you to help her because she is unable to pull her own weight as number 5?"

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. What is wrong with these people? I was getting a little bit angry and I wasn't sure about who, the press or Five.

"Listen here, Noch and I were asked to work together for an unknown to us reasons. She does not need my help and can pull her own weight. In fact, she saved me today and apprehended the 3 individuals by herself." I sighed, trying to calm down. "Now, I have someplace I need to be," I said with a smirk and a few fans around me squired with happiness as I took off.

'Ouch, that was a rough pull' I thought as I felt a slight pain at the base of my wings

'Who knew that someone like her could pull someone like me out of danger... not happy that she did it around my wings, but still grateful that she did it.' I landed on the balcony of my bedroom and went inside, crashing on my bed.

'Probably should take her out to dinner to thank her for saving me but she would never agree...to keep...her identity...safe....' I thought as I drifted into a peaceful sleep.

Y/n POV

I walked into the apartment and fell on the fluffy carpet completely exhausted. I was planning on catching some sleep at the league but now that my brother was in the hospital, I wasted precious time.

'Okay, so the class for today is cancelled because of the USJ incident, tomorrow -the weekends start, so I have 3 days off before I have to cover for Shota.' I chuckle at the thought that came after this "They wouldn't even notice the difference..." I think I said it out loud before the darkness swallowed me.
