Y/n POV

"Wanted to ask what you are doing tonight," he asks with that annoying smile. I stare at him in disbelief.

'What the hell? Is he serious?' I continue staring, everything is happening in a second, so it wasn't as weird as it might sound.

"Sorry, I have plans." I bluntly stated, motioning to the door. His smile turned into more of a smirk as he looked at me with a weird facial expression that was supposedly be 'seductive' and it didn't impress me "Does this ever work?" I ask as I walk out of the room with him behind me.

"Yes, you will be surprised." He answers while rubbing the back of his neck.

There was nothing left for me to do here, I have already done everything and it is getting late. I need to get prepared for my night patrol. Without saying anything in response to him, I started walking down the hall with my hands in my cargo pants pockets, leaving the birdman on his own. I bet he was staring at me in shock.

I don't care.

'Did she just walk away from me? Wow, that takes guts, or maybe she has no taste... maybe it both.' i stare at her as she walks down the hall with her hands in her cargo pants. 'I am kinda interested in what kind of plans she has tonight.' But a phone took me out of my unexpected fantasy.

"Yes?" I answer it. Someone on the other side, a very familiar voice spoke to me.

"You are out on patrol tonight. You are to assist number 5, Noch in her night patrol." Before I could even answer they hanged up on me.

'Great, now I am stuck babysitting and not getting my beauty sleep' I sighed and thought about it for a while, trying to recall anything and everything I know about Noch.

'Noch. The number 5, night and stealth hero. Rose to top ranks rather fast, as fast as I did, apparently, due to the fact that she is exploiting the night for her own benefit. Kinda cool and smart too. She became a symbol of peace during the night and this was one of the main reasons how she got so high on the rating so quickly, and because of her, the streets are safer at night. As far as I remember, I don't think I ever saw her during the social gathering that was organized for pro heroes, only the major, official ones. The media hates on her because of how allusive she is, they can never catch her or get her to say anything more than what needs to be said. They call her the Mystery Hero. Great, she sounds like fun...' I thought to myself as I flew through the neighbourhood to my penthouse to get something to eat to sort some paper work out before I had to go. But before I knew it, I was researching Noch and reading articles about her, when suddenly something caught my eye. An article about her true identity.

'Wait, no one even knows her true name or identity... that is impressive.' I thought to myself as I stood up and headed out to the balcony, spreading my wings and looking out into the city.

"Well, I guess I will be the first one to find it out." I smiled and took off.

Y/n pov.

I was sitting at the rooftop of one of the skyscrapers, leaning back on my hands, as one of my legs were dangling down and the other was bent. I was snuggling into my wonderfully cosy binding cloth, which now acted like a scarp (normally would be primarily around the hips.)

Today was a crazy day, I joined the league, my brother ended up in the hospital and now I am on the night patrol with somebody. HPSC could have been at least more specific about who it is going to be. I sighed into the scarp.
