Daichi had said that the trip would be soon, but it still shocked you when it was suddenly the night before. You had gotten so used to your boys of Karasuno, the thought of encountering so many more of them was daunting.

While it had been mentioned that the younger boys were a bit infatuated with you, they all still treated you with respect. They got more bold with you as you got more comfortable around them, and their comments of praise became more common. Almost always it caught you off guard, you had never so commonly been told that you looked nice that day.

You had never had the utmost confidence in yourself and your looks. It was strange to be praised in that way, but you also dismissed it as them just clinging onto any girl that comes by.

Any way around, the thought of being in a building with a large number of guys for two weeks was scary. Maybe some would act like Tanaka and Noya but without the respect. That thought gave you the chills.

Yet, there you were sitting on the bus next to Kiyoko on your way to your destination. You knew that it would be okay with Kiyoko by your side, maybe you wouldn't stand out so much next to her since she was already so breathtakingly gorgeous.

Foreigner. You're the Foreigner. You reminded yourself, feeling a weird feeling in your stomach. Sticking out so much was so strange to you.

You tried to focus on your conversation with Kiyoko and the joy you felt as you sat on the bus with all the excited boys. They were basically hopping up and down in their seats at the thought of being able to play so many games. It was fascinating to see.

"Is everything okay?" Kiyoko asked suddenly. It brought you straight out of your thoughts.

"What?" you "answered" quickly.

"You seem distracted," she said, and you realized that your response only helped support her current line of thought.

You decided it would be best to be honest with her. "I'm a little nervous about being around so many guys."

She chuckled lightly. "I figured. It's definitely something extremely disorienting at first. There's going to be some characters there for sure, but if you can survive with this team," she motioned around the bus, "you're going to be okay."

You laughed. "Yeah, I got used to these boys pretty quickly I guess."

"It'll be okay, I'll stick by your side," she said, which made you smile.

The ride was quickly over after your conversation and you followed Kiyoko outside to help unload the bus and get the supplies for the day ahead together.

The team thanked you over and over as they unloaded and got their things. You smiled at each of them, which made a couple stutter through their words. It made you feel so strange, it was more power over people than you had really ever held.

They entered the gym as you and Kiyoko did the final checks on everything. You could already hear the sounds of volleyballs slamming. They really never missed even a second to continue practice.

"Alright, we're good to go," Kiyoko said, starting to walk to the gym. You quickly fell right in step with her as you headed over together. She was right by your side just as she said she would be.

The gym was loud to say the least. Between yelling and the various volleyball noises, it was the Karasuno gym times two. No wait, times four. You looked around to the four other teams that were around the gym. It was clear that actual practices hadn't even started yet. The players were wearing colored pinnies to designate their teams, but all of the colors were currently mixed around as they practiced with players outside of their school.

The feeling was odd as you walked in. It felt like eyes were ripping into you from every angle. It was almost directly your fear— you knew that you stood out too much. You couldn't bring yourself to find the eyes that were staring at you, so instead you put your head down as you walked forward by Kiyoko's side.

You followed Kiyoko over to the bench that was near the court with a scoreboard labeled "Karasuno vs Nekoma." You assumed that this would be where your first game would be.

The two of you quickly got everything sorted. "Okay, let's go fill up the water bottles," she said, picking them up and heading for the other door that would probably lead to a hallway.

You followed quickly behind. You mused at how simple and nice these tasks were. It would be really easy for you to get used to this life.

"WATCH OUT-" you heard a voice yell, and you turned to look in the direction of the call, and saw a volleyball flying towards you at a speed you had hardly ever seen before. You hardly had time to react other than bracing yourself for an impact naturally, but the hit never came. Your eyes were closed out of instinct, but you finally opened them and saw a boy standing there holding the ball about an inch from your face.

Kiyoko had mentioned there would be characters at this camp, but as you looked at this guy, that phrase was put into a whole other perspective. His hair was spiked up with frosted tips, his eyes were big and golden, and you quickly determined that you had never seen anyone like him before.

"I'm sorry!" he said in a loud, but light voice. He brought the volleyball down from the air where he had caught it with one hand and made eye contact with you for the first time. His expression changed so quickly you almost wanted to take a step back. It was a face you couldn't quite pinpoint. "H-hey hey, uh, I've never seen you around before. I'm so sorry I almost hit you, I-I really didn't mean to."

You could only get in a smile before another voice spoke up. "Bokuto-san, the practice games are going to be starting."

The boy turned back to who had spoken. "Yeah, I'm coming," he said and then turned back to you. "I'm so sorry again. I hope I can see you around."

"It's okay," you finally got out, "you ended up saving me from it anyways."

His eyes glanced around before his mouth went to say something and instead closed instantly. Was this guy nervous? You would have never pinned someone so eccentric as being so nervous. He then nodded at you and turned around to run back to the court he had come from.

You watched his blue jersey as it moved further and further away. Number 4. A captain. You thought to yourself as you saw the number with a line underneath. Bokuto.
