Kuroo returned in the midafternoon. He was not the most careful driving home, speeding a little too much on every road. It was probably stupid to do that, but he couldn't help himself from it. He didn't want to miss out on anything any longer than he had to.
He had already missed an entire morning that could have been spent with his best friend and a girl that he was oddly falling so hard for. How had he only known her for a week, but he was feeling like this?
When he got to the apartment's door, he found the door unlocked. He pushed the door open to complete silence in the room, which was a shock with Bokuto around.
He saw some spikey white hair poking over the backside of the couch and walked over to find Bokuto holding you in his arm as both of you slept. You looked so peaceful as you laid there, but as he looked to admire you he noticed the bruises poking out from your collar. He bit his tongue trying not to laugh or think about it too deeply.
With a slight shake of his friend's shoulder, he woke up Bokuto. The boy rolled his head back in response and smiled, seeing his friend back. "You guys have fun?" Kuroo whispered, motioning to the way that you looked on the couch.
Bokuto smiled. "Oh, I had the time of my life."
"You've only known her for a week," Kuroo deadpanned.
"Don't worry, we didn't do that much," the boy responded before looking down at your sleeping form. "And you know you would've done the same exact thing if you were here. You literally made out with her in the hall within hours of talking to her."
Kuroo narrowed his eyes at his friend. "How far?"
"I only-" when you started to stir out of your sleep, Bokuto stopped talking entirely so you wouldn't hear the conversation that they were having.
You fluttered your eyes open to find Bokuto looking down at you with a big smile. You smiled back before realizing that there was another figure hovering above you. Kuroo. you realized quickly.
He gave you a look that made your stomach twist into a knot. You sat up from your position against Bokuto's chest. "Hi," you said softly, adjusting your collar hoping that he couldn't see the hickies all over your chest.
His eyes melted at your greeting and he didn't have such a harsh look anymore which made you feel instantly relieved. Maybe you had imagined him looking at you so harshly.
He had found you in Bokuto's arms after he said he didn't want to leave you alone with him. You gulped at the thought that he would actually be mad at you for what you did.
The moment with Bokuto was just so sudden, but so good. You couldn't imagine resisting what had happened. You wanted it so badly and he was there to give it.
You had never so conflicted on anything. The thought of Kuroo in a situation like that also made you shiver. They were so different in how they showed their affection towards you, but there was no way you could choose.
