After your breakfast of the food that Bokuto had basically forced down your throat, you stood at the scoreboard for the Karasuno and Nekoma game.
"You need to eat!" he had said.
"Bokuto, I'm full. I swear."
"No, that's not enough. You have an entire day of work ahead of you."
With Kuroo's comments about it not being enough either, you kept on taking more bites until it was eventually gone. Now, you felt heavy as you stood changing the score, hardly energized like they had said you would be. Maybe you should eat a really light lunch-
"(y/n), the score," you heard Kiyoko say.
You apologized and quickly added to the Nekoma side to make their score correct. You and her had been talking between plays, catching up on the bit of time that you had spent apart. Though you did dodge around the subject of Kuroo altogether in case she would get suspicious.
Suddenly you remembered something specific that you had intended to ask her about. "Daichi mentioned this morning that someone came to the room for me before I woke up."
"Oh, yeah. I meant to tell you," she said. "Bokuto was asking if you were awake. He wanted to walk you to breakfast."
Another one? Your brain yelled. How many boys were you going to have walking you through every hall at this point. Still, you smiled. You could only imagine his dopey face asking Kiyoko that. "That's sweet," you said.
"Yeah, he seemed oddly nervous while asking," you could hear something creeping into her voice as she said that. You knew it was only a matter of time before the question would come.
You decided to anticipate it. "I don't know what's going on with that boy. We just met, but he always seems so different around me than when he's around other people."
"Maybe it's in a good way," she said.
You sighed. "I hope so."

At lunch, you sat with the Karasuno third years just as you had promised. They asked you how your day was and you answered simply before you just sat back to listen to their conversation take off.
They spoke all about the practice matches that they had had the past couple days and technicalities of each of them. You started to zone out at that point, but you were okay with it. You loved to just watch your friends' passion for what they did.
You brought out your notebook and a pen and started to doodle, still listening to their conversation as well as you could. After a few minutes, you heard them stop talking and you looked up, confused. They were all looking at you. "What's up?"
"That looks really cool, (y/n)!" Suga said, looking down at your page.
"This is why you stopped talking?"
