A Hunter's Curse

Chapter 2: The Journey

The next morning the Chemboor warriors left with the Myakas. They were informed that  the journey would be the equivelant of 3 passing suns.

After much traversing in the dry, deserted lands, the warriors stopped to make camp for the night. While the men set up the tepees and the fire, the women got about preparing the food.

Mileena moved into her tepee with her heart racing, for that night was the night of the full moon. She would have to make a plan to get away from the camp before she did something she would regret.

As the evening meal commenced with the Chemboors on one side of the fire and the Myakas on the other, she began to complain that she was not feeling well and  so some of the women offered to stay with and take care of her but she denied them by saying she'll be fine in the morning.

Everyone cast worried looks in the direction in which she disappeared until Manak got up and went after her, concern in his eyes.

At her tepee mileena quickly packed a pair of  moccasins and a dress into a small pack. As she stepped out the tepee Manak spoke" And where do you think your going?" He folded his arms with determination on his face. Mileena closed her eyes in frustatrion and turned around to look at him. " It is none of your business," she replied "please leave me alone." And with that she briskly walked away.

Manak caught up with her and grabbed her wrist. "If you won't tell me where your going, can you at least tell me when you will be back?" Mileena frowned in thought, should she tell him when she should be back? If she did he would just ask more questions and time was running out, the moon could show any time and she had to get out now before it was too late.

"Look Manak, don't ask questions, just go back to the others and tell them not to disturb me...i will be back but not till the sun makes its appearence known." She hurriedly said.

Now it was Manak's turn to frown in thought, what was she hiding?... I know, i will just let her go, then go back and tell the others not to disturb her or me for the night and follow her tracks!

"Ok fine, i will tell the others not disturb you" he said with a small smile. "Thank you so much" she said with gratefulness written in her eyes and she quickly bolted away from him with lightning speed to make up for the lost time. Manak stared in awe as she sprinted, he had never seen anybody run as fast as she did.

Looks like he would have to tell the others not to disturb them quickly or else he would have a hard time finding her.

Hello everybody, i may not have introduced myself before but i'm saneesha and i'm 15 and this is my first wattpad story so really sorry if some of my info may not be correct or if i make some mistakes but anyways hope you are all enjoying A Hunter's Curse and i will try to update on weekends and if not on weekends then whenever possible but thanks again for reading my story :D and please like the story, you don't have to if u don't want to but feel free too :)
