chapter 1

 It was early, the sun was barely peeking over the horizon pouring light over lmanburg. The grass was fresh with dew, the chirps of the bird's morning song ring through the air. A light breeze flows through the air and brushes against my cheeks. The wooden planks of the prime path creaked as I walked along them. I didn't quite have a destination and had just decided to take a walk. I needed to clear my mind anyway. I knew it would be good for me. I continued down the path till I was long past lmanburg and nearer to church prime. A few seconds after passing through the community house I heard some rustling behind me. Followed by the rustling came light footsteps following behind her. I had a small inkling of whom it was following me but it wasn't until I heard soft muffled chuckles that I recognized immediately. I couldn't help but smile. He thinks he's being sneaky. It was Sapnap. He was unaware of my knowledge of his presence. It took a lot of self control not to giggle as well. I pretended to be oblivious to the footsteps. After a few seconds he made himself impossible to ignore when he tripped and fell to the ground with a thud. I couldn't contain laughter and I turned to face him. "Real sneaky" I said.

"Hey Beautiful." He said still on the ground. At this point I was laughing quite a bit.

"Hey dummy." I say.

"I was going to scare you." Sapnap said sheepishly.

"You didn't do it very well" I responded through laughter.

"I'll get you at some point that's a promise." he tried.

"Uh huh good luck with that" I said, still laughing. He shook his head and smiled. I held my hand out and helped him up. "So I take it you're joining me on this walk." I offered.

"Depends why we are headed towards erets castle? What are you doing out so early anyways" he said

"I just figured I'd go for a walk. We can go somewhere else, this is just the direction I ended up taking." I responded. He nodded.

"I say we go to party island."

"I like that idea. Plus it's close to my house if I need to go back." Continuing our conversation we turned around and walked towards the community house.

"I wish you wouldn't have chosen to live by the docs, you're not even that close to the docs. You could've set up near nikis flower shop and lived near me." he whined. I like where my house is though. Its peaceful, I live in the forest by skeppy and bad accept I was closer to the Docs than them. I wasn't in a central area or along a path so i wasn't bothered unless someone came specifically to see me.

"Why would I want to live near you, any time I get within a few hundred blocks of your house I can smell your stench." I retort

"You know you love me." he said, bumping into my shoulder.

"Keep telling yourself that."

"Maybe i will. And i smell lovely everyone knows that"

"Lovely? I don't know about that."

"I smell like a man."

We continued on down the path enjoying our conversation filled with light laughter. When we entered lmanburg the sun had fully risen and people were out enjoying conversation and having fun. A few waved and said hi but we only stopped and talked to Karl and Ranboo who were sitting on the steps of the caravan having a conversation of their own. Karl and Sapnap jokingly flirted while I talked to Ranboo who had his book out and was writing in it.

"What are you writing about?" I asked

"I'm trying to make a map so that I can know where I'm going and who lives where." He said.

"I have some dye at my house. Maybe we could color code the map and highlight areas where you shouldn't go to avoid trouble." I offer

"I didn't think that I love that idea. Could you help me with figuring out what goes where? Karl was helping me before he started talking to sapnap." Ranboo timidly asked

"Of course do you mind if i look at what you have so far?" Ranboo handed me the book.

He had a decent portion covered except for the past where I lived. I pointed out where Tommys vacation homes should go, the Eiffel tower, somehow he didn't have church prime on his map. Sapnap walked over and gently touched my upper back.

"Hi.'' Sapnap smiled and said timidly.

"Whats up?" I ask.

"Karl and I are gonna head to the chess table, do you want to come?" He says. I looked at Ranboo who seemed nervous.

"Uh, I think i'm gonna stay with Ranboo for a bit. Do you wanna meet up somewhere for lunch?" I say.

"What time is it now?" Sapnap asks.

"It's a little past 10:30." Karl responds.

"Let's meet around 12:30 at party island since we didn't end up going earlier." I say.

"Sounds good come to the chess board if you need me." Sapnap says.

"Okay." I say. With that they leave and Ranboo and I continue. I was pretty close to Ranboo. I liked that I was one of the few people who he trusted. He felt comfortable around me and if he couldn't remember something sometimes he'd ask me about it and I'd do my best to fill him in. He would come to my house every so often and we'd either bake or go out into the forest and mess around.

I looked at Ranboo who was studying the almost complete map. "Ok what's next?" I ask.

"Ponks tower." He responds.

"Oh ok perfect." I point it out on the map for me. He marks the spot and draws a little circle before labeling it.

"[y/n]?" Ranboo asks.

"Yeah" I say.

"I know this is probably a sensitive subject at the moment but why didn't you go back and live with your brother when he came? You don't have to answer, I was just wondering." Ranboo says.

My brother had visited about a week ago, I had thought I was an orphan my whole life and I didn't know I had siblings. As it turns out I have two brothers and a sister and a few aunts and uncles and grandparents. The most shocking news was hearing that my parents hadn't died. My brother traveled for about a month to make it to me after finding out where I was. It was fun meeting him, he and I looked so alike and acted so similar. We had the same humor and everything. He stayed for a little over three and a half weeks before he had to leave. Before leaving he asked if I would come with him because my family wanted to know me. I gave him coordinates to come to in the nether so the travel time would be reduced. I gave him plenty of food and supplies, but I didn't go with him. I really wanted to meet my family and know why I was left on my own but I didn't want to leave. I would be too homesick, I'd miss my friends they were who I considered my real family.

"It's ok. I don't mind telling you, just don't tell a ton of other people you and Sap are the only people who I have talked to about this." I respond. He nodded so I continued. "I didn't want to leave our smp. I would miss you guys too much and the overworld journey is too long for me to return in a decent time.

"That's good cause I'd miss you too." He says. Ranboo pauses and puts his book mark where it needed to be before closing it and looking up at me. "Hey can we go to your house now?" He asks.

"Yes we can go now." I say.
