Chapter 18

I stood in town square next to Sapnap and Dream. It was 3 and I was waiting for ranboo to arrive. Wilbur was supposed to announce the candidates any minute now and him not being there was making me anxious. Sapnap noticed this and touched my arm to get my attention.

"Hey, is everything ok?" he asks softly.

"Yea. I just can't find Ranboo." I tell him. He puts his arm around me and I lean into him. His touch was comforting. A second later I spot Wilbur. I thought he was there to announce the candidates but his next words surprise me.

"[y/n], I need you to come with me." he says before I get the chance to even say hi.

"What?" I say. Wilbur tries to take my hand but sapnaps arm around me tightens.

"Answer her." Sapnap says.

"I need to speak with [y/n]. Dare I say it's urgent." Wilbur responds. Sapnap looks at me and I nod signalling that I would be alright. I follow Wilbur to behind erets watch tower.

"Wilbur what is going on?" I ask.

"I have a suspicion Schlatt is going to kill you." He says. His words shock me.

"What? Why, what does he want to do with me?" I ask.

"I don't know, he's just said some very. . . strange things about you [y/n]." He responds.

"Like what?" I ask. He shakes his head.

"I just need you to be careful around him. It's not a bad idea to have someone with you whenever talking to him." He says. I nod. "That being said, I also need to talk with you once we're done with the election business. Meet me at the caravan." He says.

"Sounds good." I say. We walk back to the town square and I spot sapnap. Now George, Karl, and Quackity have joined him. They motion for me to come over to them. I sit down on the bench next to Sapnap who again puts his arm around me.

"What did he want?" Sapnap asks.

"I'll tell you in a bit." I respond. He nods and againI lean into him. Karl starts talking to me but is quickly interrupted by Wilbur's voice.

"Let's get this over with then, shall we?" he says. "I'll have the candidates come stand by me." I watch as Quackity and George, fundy and nikki, tommy, and . . . Schlatt? Go up. "For starters, Tommy and I are running under pog 2020. Fundy is running with nikki as his running mate under Coconut 2020. Quackity is running with George as his running mate under Swag 2020." hearing this broke me because I knew there would be some conflict to come over whether I was part of swag 2020 or pog 2020. "And finally, Schlatt will be running without a running mate under Schlatt 2020." Wilbur states. Why was schlatt running? He'd barely been here for just under 2 weeks. They each step forward and give a 5 minute or less speech about why they should be elected. When schlatt stepped up I was surprised for some reason to hear logical reasons.

When everyone had finished george and quackity came back to the group and decided to go celebrate. "[y/n], are you gonna join?" Quackity asks.

"No, I have to go find wilbur." I tell them. "But i'll join after where are you gonna be?" I ask.

"I was thinking just sapnaps house since he lives a pretty equal distance from all of us." Quackity responds.

"Oh then I'll for sure see you." I say.

"Yea [y/n] sort of lives with me now." Sapnap says.

"What? Thats awesome. Does that mean you can come to all the karaoke nights?" Karl asks.

"Yea I guess it does." I say.

"I'll see you in a bit then." Sapnap says. He hugs me and I go off to find Wilbur. I was expecting to have to look for him but he was waiting for me near where he made the announcement.
