Not much happened in the morning. Since all the vampires seemed to still be asleep I left without a word. I wasn't sure if I wanted to come across Subaru or any of his brothers who were possibly listening in last night.
Thinking back on the events of last night makes me wanna crawl into a hole and die. I mean did I really say all that nonsense to the guy? As if I know anything about their situation. I'm not even a devoted fan to them, just a girl trying to write a fictional report on some supposed fictional beings. Perhaps it would be best to stay away from Subaru for the time but then who shall I terrori-, I mean interview?
I ponder this question all of my walk home. Upon arrival, I discover my parents are out. Normally I would be overcome with joy at having the place to myself and do a happy dance. Today though I went straight to my room. Letting out a sigh I push my bedroom door open.
I'm greeted by the darkness of my room. Since I have black-out curtains there's barely any light in my room. I set my bag down without turning the lights on and head to where my bed should be.
I let myself fall into its comforting embrace. Except I fall on a large mass and hear a grunt. Jumping up from what I'm on I head for my lights and flick them on.
Lying there on my bed is none other than Shu Sakamaki.
" What the actual hell?!" I yell out in question.
Not bothering to open his eyes he replies. "Can't you see i'm trying to sleep? What an annoying woman you are."
I walk over and try to pull him off my bed but fail. "Dude this is my house and that is my bed what the hell is your vampire ass doing here?"
He finally opens his eyes and stares at me.
"Did you know my rooms right next to Subaru's?" He asks.
"Ok and?" I ask in frustration.
Shu gets up from his sleeping position and sits on the edge of my bed looking at me. Since he's gonna take my bed I decide to sit on my wheely chair.
After a bit of silence, he answers me. "I heard you yelling last night."
I immediately flashback to my heated conversation with Subaru.
I stare in shock but all I manage to say is "Oh," Which is followed by a more awkward silence. "so you gonna like murder me now?" I ask nervously.
Shu grins. "No but you wanna know why we're here in your universe right?"
I rapidly nod my head yes.
"Then let's make a deal, I'll tell you in return for some of your blood." He states.
I hesitate but give in. I sure as hell didn't want my blood sucked again, but I wanted the story, needed the story. I could not be dragged into this whole vampire mess without knowing what was going on.
"Ok you have a deal, but I want the whole story with nothing left out," I say as I extend my hand for him to shake.
He stares at it for a second but eventually takes it. After that, he begins his tale.
"Since you've watched the anime and know our background you know about Yui Komori the sacrificial bride that was sent to us right?" He pauses and waits for my answer.
I nod my head which allows him to move on. "Well some shit happened and she died."
My mouth dropped. Sweet Yui died? No way. "What happened?" I demanded. Though as soon as I did I saw him flinch. It was obviously a topic he didn't want to bring up and I felt a bit of pity.
"Nevermind, just continue on. It doesn't matter." I say before he can explain.
He nods and continues on. "Our old man wasn't too happy so he sent us to your universe as punishment with this special watch he has. It allows him to manipulate time and space. That's all there really is to it. Just another stupid punishment for us."
"What about the Mukami's? Are they not here too?" I ask.
Shu shakes his head. "No they were with us when Yui died but they didn't play a big part in it compared to our family so they were left behind."
"I see,"I say as I hold my chin and think. Though my thought process is interrupted.
"Now I believe it is time you fulfill your end of the agreement," Shu says as he gets up and starts to walk over to me.
Part of myself wants to run but I know it would be futile. Instead, I sit and face my fate as Shu leans his head into the crook of my neck.
"Heh not gonna run? My what a lewd woman you are just offering you blood like this." He says right before biting down with no mercy.
I'm overcome with the same feeling again. The feeling of fear and being powerless. The adrenaline high you get from it. I will do my best to fight it and come up with some reply. "Shush you lazy vampire, is that any way to talk to a friend?"
I'm met with silence and feel myself becoming weaker and weaker. Eventually, Shu lets go and I collapse in my chair. He picks me up and carries me to my bed. My vision is starting to go black but I can still see him just a bit.
"Friend? What a foolish human you are. Though I guess your blood makes up for it."
Before he can leave I manage to weakly reply. "Yea what a fool I am trying to befriend six vampires but don't worry I'll make sure you guys accept my friendship."
I black out right after saying that so I'm not sure if he said anything or if my words got across. No matter though because just wait, I'll be sure to become bestest friends with those grumpy vampires.
AN: Sorry for the two-week-long wait. I try my best to get chapters out every week if not every two. I hope you guys enjoy this chapter and continue to enjoy the fic. Please vote and comment!
