Katherine and Caroline: The Hookup

The Day After

Caroline's POV:

I woke up naked with a headache. I felt someone behind me. I turned around and it was Katherine. Then all the memories came back, our naked bodies colliding, our tongues fighting in  domince, and my unforgettable orgasm.  I was freaking out. I tried to remove her arms from around my chest. But just my luck , she woke up. "What's going on," she said confused. Then she realized. "Oh my god, we slept together didn't we," she said moving her arms. "We shouldn't  have done this," I said getting up and trying to find my clothes. "Wait, you didn't like it." Katherine said a little sad. "I did like it...a lot. That's the problem," I said sitting down by her. "Me too," Katherine said. We leaned in as if we were going to kiss but someone unexpected came in.

Elena's POV: 

I woke up this morning and realized that Caroline wasn't here. So, I got up to ask Stefan. When I arrived at the Salvatore Boarding House, I knocked on the door. Stefan answered. "Hey, have you seen Caroline?" I asked. "No, ask Katherine," Stefan said annoyed. " Wait, why would she be with Kather-," I asked but Stefan closed the door in my face. I drove back to the school and walk up to Katherine's dorm. Even though I didn't think she would be in there. The door was unlocked, so I walked in. What I saw was unexpected and angered me. I saw a naked Katherine and Caroline about to kiss. Tears grew in my eyes. "Elena wait," Caroline said before I slammed the door and left.

Caroline's POV:

I quickly put on my dress and walked out. "Elena let me explain," I said running after her. "What is there to explain, Caroline. You spelt with the girl who tried to kill me multiple times, killed you, and brought Klaus into town," Elena said with tears rolling down her eyes. "I know, I was drunk," I said trying to explain myself. "Are you drunk now?  I don't think so, so why are you kissing her now," Elena said. "I know it's a lot to take in, but can you please keep this between us?" I said. "Fine, I'll keep your dirty little secret, but your moving out of our dorm. And I don't want to see you ever again," Elena said walking off. I felt bad. Elena is my best friend and I just betrayed her. I turned around to see Katherine peeking out of her dorm door in a robe. 

Katherine's POV:

Caroline saw me peeking. I went back into my dorm. Caroline opened the door. "Can I use your shower, Elena kicked me out," she said. I could tell she was holding back tears. "Su-sure," I managed to get out. While she was in the shower, I heard her crying. I was tempted to go in there but that's not what she needs. "Bye Katherine," Caroline said leaving with her dress barely on. 

Caroline's POV:

I walked to Katherine's dorm, well now my new dorm. I'm still stunned that I just lost one of my best friends. I started to put on my clothes. When I was done, I started packing my stuff in my suitcase. I was almost finished packing when Bonnie walked in. "Caroline what are you doing? Why are you packing?"  Bonnie asked. " Me and Elena got into a fight, she kicked me out."I responded. "What about?" She asked. "Can't tell you. Bye," I said after putting a blood bag in my suitcase. 

I headed over to the Salvatore Boarding House. While I was driving I was thinking about me and Katherine. The hookup didn't mean anything, we were drunk. And she's like my enemy. But I can't help but think what if she's what I want, what I need.  Before I could think anymore of it, I had arrived to the Salvatore Boarding House. I knocked on the door, Stefan answered. "Oh hey Caroline," Stefan said. "Can we talk?" I asked quietly. He let me in and we sat down on the couch. "I'm breaking up with you," we both said in sync. "Wow," Stefan said. "Why do you want to breakup?" Stefan asked curiously. " I just don't feel like there's a connection between us anymore," I said honestly. "I feel the same," Stefan said. "Friends?" I asked. "Friends." He agreed. "Bye," I said before leaving out the door.

Katherine's POV:

I got into the shower, but I couldn't get my mind off of Caroline. I have had a crush on her for months now, and know we hookup. Part of says it feels right, but the other part is saying this hookup is already ruining her relationships. I feel somewhat guilty. I feel different. I have never let someone in, but with Caroline, she makes me feel safe and happy. She makes my black heart light up like the sun. I got out the shower and put on a towel. When I came out of my bathroom, someone walked in the door. "Hey Katherine you're the only one who I think would let me stay here for a few weeks. I know it's weird since of what happened last night, but administration won't let me get a new dorm until a few weeks and home is to far away." Caroline said with her head in her phone. Then she looked up and saw me in a towel. She had looked like her blood had turned to stone. " Sure you can stay. Let me put some clothes on first," I said. Then she left. 

Caroline's POV:

I  know it's a bad idea to move in with Katherine, but she's the only one who I knew who would let me stay.  Probably because she wants me to sleep with her, but that's not going to happen because my mind says that I need my life to go back on track. But my body says let her ruin my life, let her love me, let her explore my body again and again and again. But that's probably a bad idea. I started to scroll on Instagram, then I saw a online invitation for a vampire party where  vampires feed on humans, feed them their blood, and compel them to forget. The invitation said I could invite a plus one. My mind immediately thought of Elena, but she's angry with me. Then I got a second idea, I could invite Katherine. It could be a good way for us to get used to each other's... company.
