Reincarnated as Rikuo's Twin Brother | Nurarihyon no Mago

Why are you here?

Immediately the morning after the fight, Reiji was going home to his condo for his first day of school, only to be met with a very familiar intruder.

"YO!"

"Don't 'Yo' me! What are you doing here, Inei!?"

Inei, a moon rabbit yokai who specializes in stealth, somehow was hanging in his living room watching television. Inei was one of the yokais Reiji hung out within the group, she was around the same age as him and they have the same hobbies. Inei was also the person the group relied on to gather information or watch Seo, so that could only mean,

"Don't tell me, Seo's here!?"

"Can't I just visit a friend?" Inei raised her eyebrows at the estranged nura. Acting a bit hurt with his words.

However, Reiji knew better than to trust Inei, she was a well-known liar.

"Tell me, where is she. ." Reiji asked as he got inside the kitchen to grab the food he bought previously. "Is she hanging around a bar or something?" He said munching on some bread.

"Why bother to ask when you know where she is?" Inei huffed in annoyance and leaned on the palm of her hand, "You might as well replace me in info gathering."

"Do you not understand what a question is for!?"

"Oh, shut up, you cringe fanboy."

"Says the overused emo personality."

"What!?"

"WHAT!?"

More often than not, the two would fight each other mocking one another's personalities. They were friends but also enemies, so practically they were great friends.

Settling down after their brief and nonsensical argument, the two quietly ate their dinner while exchanging information about the group's recent activities. Inei also brought some interesting information with her.

"--and so Seo came with me here, but I ditched her when she started to go out drinking."

"I should have known Rozo would get beat up, honestly that man should be the serious type, but here he is being kicked in the ass by his sister." Reiji sighed as he swallowed the food.

Inei took a glance at Reiji, "Aren't you going to tell me to not ditch that chaotic leader while she gets drunk in her ass?"  

"What's the point, I know you're going to handle her later," Reiji spoke, meeting his eyes with hers. "Anyway, has your team been dispatched yet?"

Inei group, Team 2, is a team of yokais led by Inei herself. Trained to protect and scour for information for the group. There are multiple teams, but this one specifically is the most active wherever Inei went.

Hearing the mention of her own band of misfits, Inei's eyes turned serious.

"They have been patrolling the forest area the moment you left, as instructed, we'll stay there until the time comes they attack." 

"Make sure nothing bad happens to that person," Reiji grabbed his plate as he stood up. With a grin, he said, "We'll use him to get a better hold of the clan."

The very next morning, Reiji was introduced to his new classmates.

He stood in front of the class, with a gentle smile. With a classic middle school uniform and his school bag by his side, he introduced himself.

"My name is Reiji Kareki, let's all get along." He lowered his head slightly while the class erupted in excitement.

"Waa~ He looks so cool!" One said.

"Hey~ Do you have a girlfriend?" A girl asked

"Welcome to the class, Reiji-san!" Another added.

"Ah, I thought it was a girl!" A random classmate said.

As the class continued their barrage of questions with Reiji, a certain group of yokai enthusiasts chatted with themselves.

"Hey, doesn't he look a bit like Rikuo?"

"I know right? The resemblance is insane!"

"Dude, I wished Rikuo was here to see this."

"Perhaps he can be a new member of the Paranormal Patrol!"

As the four whispered to one another, Kana was silently looking at Reiji with a distracted look.

'Why. . . do they look so much alike. .'

There was a deep confusion and attraction brewing inside Kana's heart. Something about Rikuo Nura and that mysterious Lord of the Yokais just felt. . strange. And with the appearance of Reiji, everything just seemed to jumble and fall apart.

'Why?' She thought

As Kana was busily thinking to herself, the teacher had managed to settle down the class and have Reiji sit down in the back center of the class. Soon after, class started and Reiji began his reintroduction to Rikuo's life.
