"Speaking of Kareki-kun, doesn't he and Rikuo-kun look like carbon copies of each other?" Natsumi asked, fixing her hair to the back of her ear.

Hearing Natsumi's words, eyes quickly fell onto the twins. Now that they noticed it, Rikuo and Reiji did look like one another! Everyone quickly got excited and started question both of their relation to each other, making Rikuo panic once again.

Frantically waving his hands in the air, Rikuo tried explaining, completely forgetting Reiji's brief instructions.

"Well-- It's, It's because--!"

"Were cousin," Reiji cut off Rikuo, he sighed in his thoughts with his brother's incompetency at lying. "My dad and Rikuo's were related, that's why we look alike. We were teased quite often because of it, they always made jokes on how Rikuo and I could secretly be brothers." Reiji reasoned, "This is why I also knew Tsurara since she often hung out with us before."

"Ohh I see!"

"Uwaa~ That's so neat!"

"I'm so jealous!"

Without questions, everyone quickly nodded to Reiji's lies, some whispers of jealousy were heard but no one really minded them. Kana herself was also envious but said no words, thinking that Tsurara only came to play during their childhood when she wasn't with Rikuo. The neighborhood onmyoji, Yura, who was dubious for a second, accepted.

The conversation slowly progressed to what it originally was, Kyoutsugu had panned a 'Youkai Training camp' to happen in Ume Rakuen. Normally, everyone was excited about their club field trip, but Reiji knew what was going to happen.

Hitotsume (One-eyed Yokai)and Gyuuki would prepare to ambush and get rid of Rikuo, solidifying the brat's desire to be the next Supreme commander. However, something was now different. Reiji was in this world and he wasn't that stupid to think they would remain weak.

He expected stronger and new opponents, and Reiji was prepared.

The night quickly fell unto the Nura estate, one by one the Council members arrived at the estate. Smaller and servant yokais swiftly prepared food and drink for the upcoming meeting, everyone was busy most especially Tsurara.

Sitting by the porch, Tsurara silently faced the Sakura tree as everyone partied and became merry with one another behind her. Rikuo was busy packing his stuff for the trip the next day, his bag laid beside him as he called Kana about what a girl packed for trips.

Creepy if I say so myself.

Noticing this far away look on Tsurara, Reiji silently sat beside the snow woman and looked at the tree.

There was a peaceful silence overlapping the two of them, though slowly, as Tsurara's thoughts wandered about the thought of Reiji life, the air started to become awkward.

Noticing the change in the atmosphere, Reiji shifted in his seat.

"Hey," he spoke gently.

"H, Hey. ." Hearing that somewhat uncomfortable voice, Reiji casually added some space between him and Tsurara.

"How have you been all these years, still watching over Rikuo, I'm guessing."

"Yes, I suppose. . " Tsurara responded silently.

Tsurara's lonesome voice made Reiji quite sad, though he was happy Tsurara worried about him, it really isn't that great when you see someone you care about become sad. A melancholic smile appeared on Reiji's lips, glancing at Tsurara now and again. This was why he had most of the clan's memories buried, he didn't want to see their worried looks.

Besides, It was just. . .

". . ."

". . ."

". . ."

Perhaps sick of Reiji's silence and lack of explanation, the snow woman's frustration quickly built up. A Cold wind started permeating the air, ice crystals forming in the hand of the Yuki-onna.

". . . Reiji-sama, where have you been all these time!" An angered voice resounded from Tsurara's mouth, her words filled with regret, "Why did you just disappear like that, n- no one could even remember, you. . " She spoke silently in the end.

No one could blame her for becoming angry, when she first stepped into the clan doors, she was met with warm smiles. Rihan, Nurarihyon, and everyone else welcomed her as a family. When Rihan was killed, everything slowly started to crumble to pieces, everyone was mournful with the loss, including Tsurara. The clan was a mess at that time.

The only thing that seemed to brighten her up was the company of the twins, remembering that her family was still there no matter what happened. With those thoughts in mind, suddenly finding out after seven years that one of the siblings went missing was a devastating feeling.

Even worse, Tsurara missed out on Reiji's life, she couldn't be there for him. She wasn't able to protect him and most of all. . . she missed hi-

Giving a quick pat on her head, Reiji eased Tsurara's rambling thoughts.

A rare warm smile formed on his face as he looked at her gently,

"Thank you, for worrying about me. . " He said as he brushed her hair to the side, "It doesn't matter what happened years ago, don't worry Tsurara, I'm here now."

Hearing his comforting words, Tsurara's formed a smile,

"Ahaha--" She started laughing warmly, "What a cheesy line, Reiji-sama."

"UGK-- Ouch." Reiji felt as if he was suddenly mocked for a minor 8th-grade syndrome.

Though our protagonist was teased for his cringey line, a warm atmosphere enveloped the two as they conversed and caught up to their happenings in the world. Sometimes, it's better if we don't think about what will happen in the future or the past, but simply enjoy the moment right now. .
