"You're mates father is a genius. Tree sap! Ha! I would have never thought of that." Jonathan says. Tree sap? Makes sense it's used for so many things, but where are we going to get tree sap this late in the year. "So, what now? Where are we going to find tree sap it's winter. Isn't that stuff frozen?"
"Tree sap doesn't freeze. We need to find some sequoia trees." Jonathan paces around thinking to himself. "The springs, they have sequoia trees surrounding them. Let's go!" We shift and start running towards the mountains. Running as fast as more poor burned paws can carry me. I start thinking about Sophie. I hope she is protected.
Don't worry TJ won't let anything happen to her. Jonathan read my thoughts so clearly. I know he will protect her but I'm her mate. I'm supposed to be there, not him. We slow down getting close to the springs. Seeing the sequoia tress on the far side closer to the edge of the forest relief flooded me.
Jonathan broke of a piece of bark with sap oozing out. Taking a dozen pieces and wrapping them in his shorts before shifting and running back towards Rebecca. We see some of our pack mates surrounding her while waiting for us. "Is Connie on her way? Even if we get closer to her we still have those silver chains to break through." Still trying to figure out how Emilio got the chains around her in the first place. Would the tree sap work too?
