Chapter 15

  "Marcus, we have a problem. Meeting in 10 mins, my office." I looked down at my beautiful mate cuddled up next to me. "Yes Alpha, I'll be there." I tried to get out of bed as quietly as I could without waking my angel. I practically tip toed to the bathroom. After my shower I got dressed as quickly as I could. Looking back at the bed to make sure she was still sleeping, satisfied, I left and closed the door gently behind me.

  Last night was the first night I had a women in my bed. Even Stacy never spent the nite, I made sure she never came to the pack house. I always thought it would be disrespectful to Terence's parents as well as mine. I still haven't told Sophie about Stacy, I just couldn't ruin our nite.

  We watched Back to the Future movies all night. We joked around as if we've known each other for years. I even told her about our parents. She had cried for them, she cried for the pack that was destroyed. After that we fell asleep in each others arms. Perfect ending to a perfect night.

  I walked into Terence's study and seen my brothers were there to. "Now that everyone is here we can get to business. I talked to Alpha Alonzo, he arrived in Texas late last nite. Emilio was no where in sight and it looks like he took her aunt with him. Everyone else was ok, the other pack members didn't harm them on his orders. Looks like he took the family truck so it's going to be harder to track. Rebecca's husband said the truck has gps but it isn't working. I think Emilio turned it off or removed it." He exhaled. "Now Ranger, Coltons's father in law has some ex army buddies that are helping track the truck down through their connections. They know not to go near the truck. I didn't want anyone else getting involved but we need all the help we can get."

  I was pacing around the room not liking what I was hearing. This psycho won't stop, he knows he has the upper hand by taking Sophie's aunt with him. "What do we need to do? If we attack he will kill her but if we let Sophie go to him then he will see my mark and might kill them both." I can't lose her not now I just found her. I sat down in the chair in front of the desk looking up at my best friend, my Alpha.

  "Marcus we will fugure this out. The ascension is tonight you and Sophie won't be able to control yourselves. You will make the mate bond stronger. We have to clear this up before then. Alpha Alonzo took the first flight here and Jonathan is at the airport now waiting for his plane to land. We are hoping that he can get through to him enough so he can let the women go or distract him enough for us to rescue her." I still wasn't convinced. What if something goes wrong? Would I be able to live with the fact that I was the cause of Sophie's aunts death? Would Sophie?

  "I know where your thoughts are leading you, little brother. We will figure this out. Has Sophie talked to her father?" I remember she told me about the nightmare and that she had spoken to her father. "Yes he is still very weak but he is doing fine. I told her as soon as he is ready we will fly him down here. Hopefully he will join our pack. If it's ok with you Alpha." Terence smiled at me. "Of course Marcus."

  "So what do I tell Sophie?" I just thought of something. "He is expecting for her to call him as soon as she mind links with her father. Can the phone call be traced?" I've seen it done plenty of times in the movies. I hope it's not just Hollywood that does that sort of thing. "I will ask Ranger, if it can be done then we would have the advantage. Alpha Alonzo's plane just landed he should be here within the hour."

  With that settled I went back downstairs to my room. "Hey Marcus wait up." My brother Luis stopped me. "Do you think Sophie would like a mating ceremony before the ascension. Some of the other pack members wanted to have one for her" I wasn't surprised that some of the ladies wanted to have one done for Sophie. After all it was tradition. "I'm not sure let me ask her and then I will let you know"
 
  I walked into the bedroom, the bed was empty and neatly made. I heard the shower running and I let go of the breath I didn't realize I was holding. I walked to the bathroom door and knocked. "Hey babe, I'm going downstairs for breakfast. I can make a mean omelet, if you're interested." I heard the shower turn off. "Sounds good to me, be down as soon as I get dressed."

  It was weird having a girl in the pack house again. A good kinda weird. We had Joann, Jonathans twin, grow up with us. Capri, the twins mother, gave birth to them early. We were told that after she felt her link to her mate sever she went into labor. Soon after Joanns and Jonathans birth their mother passed. With her last breath she named her children after her mate and his mother. 

  8 years later Capri's sister came and took Joann away. Jonathan refused to go, and with the Elders behind him there was nothing she could do. Joann was different, she liked exploring and the idea of traveling around the world appealed to her. Jonathan gets post cards every 2 weeks from Joann with descriptions of the town or city they visited. It's been a little over 10 years since we have seen her.

  I could smell the bacon from the stairs, I didn't even know we had bacon. I guess my brothers went to the store and bought some groceries. I walked into the kitchen and stopped. I couldn't believe she was here. "Stacy, what are you doing here? How did you get in? And what are you wearing?"

     Moonstar pack

Alpha- Terence

Beta- Luis

Delta- Rick and Marcus (normally there is only one Delta but since Rick and Marcus are twins they share the position)

Assassin- Jonathan (Lethal highly trained in combat and mainly used for spying)

The Elders- The oldest members of the pack. Mostly sentinels and assassins would be considered.

Omega- lowest of the low in the ranks. Stacy and Sophie are Omegas. But since Sophie mated with Marcus her rank has moved.

So that's the ranks so far of course everyone has different types of ranks
