We stood at the airport waiting for Coltons's mate Kim to pick us up. It wasn't a long flight but I was emotionally exhausted. Colton was a Beta and each of his pack members that he brought were actually some of his closest friends. He had told me about their home and some things about the surrounding packs.

A grey suburban pulled up and rolled down the window. "Hey Colton, Kim got caught up in a art project asked me to pick you all up." One of the guys, Micheal, opened the door for me as the others were putting my bags in the back of the suv. It was slightly snowing outside, I didn't bring a jacket but I wasn't cold either. Colton bought me a jacket anyway saying it was suspicious not to have one.

As we drove the snow was falling down thicker. I nodded off, I felt the car come to a stop and a blast of cold air as someone opened the door. I looked around and saw the most beautiful cottage I have ever seen. Two story with a wrap around porch. You can see the mountains in the background fresh snow covered the ground. Colton apeared beside me, "Welcome to Rock Springs, Wyoming. Our own little slice of heaven."

He wasn't kidding this place was breathtaking. The pine surrounding the cottage smelled devine. I heard children's laughter coming from inside. As we walked up the porch I seen little faces peeking out the window. Colton had told me he had 3 pups which I already knew from the numerous pictures at Rangers house. Colton told me to stomp the snow off my boots before going in or Kim will have a cow. I couldnt help but smirk at that.

We walked into the house and I was greeted by the smell of dinner. My mouth watered and my stomach grumbled. I took a big whiff, ah venison my favorite. I hadn't realized I bypassed Colton and his children and walked straight into the kitchen, where the delicious smell was coming from. There was a elderly women setting the table humming to herself. She looked up and smiled, "Well hello dearie, you must be Sophie."

She was my height with silvery hair in a tight bun. Her skin was leather looking and she had wrinkles around her eyes and mouth as if she smiled and laughed a lot. She had the most beautiful grey blue eyes I have ever seen. "Yes ma'am I am. Do you need any help setting the table?" I had always set the table back home with my father. We had a system he would cook I would set the table and we would both clean up afterwards. "Yes dearie, I would love some help. My name is Gloria I'm Coltons's grandmother."

She told me where everything was at. I was busy setting the table when Colton walked in with the little ones climbing on him like cute monkeys. I couldn't hold back my laugh. "I see you've met my grandmother. She always has a way of putting people to work. And these three are Malcolm he is the oldest, Lilie and Jackie the twins. Malcolm why don't you go tell your mother dinner is ready." Malcolm ran off back into the living room with his sisters behind him.

I was already comfortable in this house. You can feel the love coming from every nook and cranny. We all sat down for dinner joking and laughing as if we knew eachother for years. I had met Kim a few years back when she was pregnant with the twins. Malcolm had been two years old and very adventurous. He loved playing with the animals on the ranch. I don't remember Colton as much though he does look familiar. "So Sophie, are you joining us for the run this weekend?" Kim asked.

I thought with everything going on that they wouldn't want me to join them. "I didn't know I would be allowed to go." I answered honestly. All my life I waited for my turn to ascend, so that I could find my mate.

Colton laughed, "Of course your allowed we have to find your mate so he can protect you. Nothing compares to the love of your mate." Kim and Colton looked at each other with so much love and admiration. I gave a small smile as I looked away embarrassed for intruding on their moment.

After dinner we sat around the living room watching a movie. The twins were the first to fall asleep, they looked like little angels. I always dreamed of having a large family. "Did you call your aunt yet? I tried calling Ranger but his phone is going straight to voicemail." Colton asked. I completely forgot to call them when we arrived. "No I haven't, it slipped my mind. I'm surprised Rebecca hasn't called me yet."

I gave a small laugh and got up to get my new phone, that she bought me before I left, so I can keep in touch. I walked back into the living room as Colton and Kim were walking out with the sleeping girls and a yawning Malcolm trailing behind them. "We are going to put them to bed and join you we have a lot to discuss. I have contacted a few packs that we will visit tomorrow. I need these aliances if your pack is still looking for you." Colton explained. I just nodded as I looked for my aunts number.

  Ring Ring Ring...

I know it wasn't so late that she wouldn't pick up. I was starting to get worried when voicemail picked up. I'm just being paranoid, she probably went to sleep early, with all that's happened the last couple of days. I decided to call one more time.

  Ring Ring Ring...

She answered. "Hey auntie sorry for calling so late." The other end was silent but I could hear breathing. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up and my stomach had a queasy feeling.

"I haved missed your voice, mi amoré."
