Chapter Three

We soon have arrived at Hogwarts, I wave bye to Harry, Hermione, and Ron. I start walking off to the Hufflepuff table, I sit down and put my head down because everyone is staring at me.

I don't have any friends other than Luna Lovegood, Harry, Hermione, and Ron. I'm broken out of my thoughts when Dumbledore starts speaking.

"Welcome! Welcome to another year at Hogwarts! Now, I'd like to say a few words... before we all become too befuddled by our excellent feast. First, I'm pleased to welcome Professor R.J. Lupin, and professor Venus Black. Who's kindly consented to fill the post... of Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. Good luck, Professors." Dumbledore stopped to take a breathe and began again saying.

"Our Care of Magical Creatures teacher... has decided to retire... to spend more time with his remaining limbs. Fortunately, I'm delighted to announce... that his place will be taken by none other... than our own Rubeus Hagrid."

Everyone clapped and then Dumbledore started talking about my father.

"Finally, on a more disquieting note... at the request of the Ministry of Magic... Hogwarts will, until further notice, play host to the dementors of Azkaban... until such a time as Sirius Black is captured. The dementors will be stationed at every entrance to the grou-."

I sigh and block out what he is saying and put my head down when he finally stops I put my head back up and almost everyone's eyes are on me or my mother. I sigh not even wanting to eat.

I walk out of the great hall and walk into Myrtle's bathroom and started crying.

Soon Mrytle floated out from her stall and sat by me rubbing my back well at least trying to.

Oh did I forget to mention? Mrytle is a friend of mine.

"What's, wrong Thena?" She asked calling me my nickname. I started to cry harder

"It's just everyone thinks my dad is a murder but it's that stupid rat who did it! And he blamed my dad." I say to Mrytle,

"Well if it makes you feel better, I don't think Sirius did it. It just doesn't sound right." Mrytle said flying in circles trying to get me to laugh.

"Thank you, but I better get going I'll visit whenever I can," I said waving goodbye to Mrytle and leaving the bathroom.

As I am walking out I hear someone yelling my name, I turn back and it is mum.

"Mum why are you here, shouldn't you be planning tomorrow's lesson. Is that a new lipstick?" I asked walking towards her.

"Oh thank Merlin I found you. I should be planning it but I needed to talk to my daughter. Now I don't have much time because I'm meeting someone in about ten minutes, so I just wanted to say stay away from Ron's rat I mean it, and if it's near be at a distance."

I'm about to ask why but she had already ran off. I shrug my shoulders and make my way to the Hufflepuff dorms.

I finally arrive and run into my room, I share with three other girls I don't know any of them so I don't interact with them.

"Sabrina, Sabrina. Where are you?" I say out loud looking for my new cat. She's nowhere to be found. 'oh Merlin I'm such a bad cat mom' I think to myself. I soon change my outfit and head to bed.

It's the next morning, and I am ready for class I'm so excited for divination class. I walk out the dorm and out the common room and there waiting is. Harry, Hermione, and Ron.

I scream and run and do a group hug, "I missed you all so much, kisses!" I say blowing kisses to all three of them.

"Calm down Thena, Now let's go before we miss class," Harry says grabbing my hand, while Ron grabbed Hermione. I kick Hermione and point at their hands, she points at me and Harry's I giggle and start dragging harry with me, as Hermione does the same for Ron.
